Maybe.

For once, I would like to here an objective report:

-how many Palestinians were killed by the IDF after 10/7?
-what percentage of the dead were civilians?
-in targeting, what was an acceptable ratio of civilians killed per "bad guy"?

There's a new documentary out done by two Israelis that supposedly interviews 24 Israeli soldiers and intelligence personnel that paints a bad picture in terms of indifference to civilian deaths. Certainly doesn't mean it's true.

I hope the Israeli government releases a point by point rebuttal.

Again, I don't blame those Israelis who view ALL Palestinians as potential terrorists. I might also if I were Israeli. As Americans, though, we should be given the facts.

Go find this guy’s interviews and speeches. It’ll inform you of what the citizenry is there

Mosab Hassan Yousef. He lived it until adulthood, his father was a founding member of Hamas

But as with most of the cases you cited above, as twisted as they were, they might have been more motivated by hatred of the modern state of Israel rather than Jews generally. For instance, I think the day center guy had family members killed by the IDF in Lebanon. Sure it's irrational to lash out at Jews who had nothing to do with it...but it's hard to say that he harbored some religious resentment of Jews PRIOR to that.

What you conveniently left out, scumbag, is that his family members were Hezbollah. You know, the guys who killed 240 of our Marines.

I left out the murder for the two Israelis in DC for a reason as that was because they worked for the embassy.

All these attacks and more are directed at Jews. It would be like me killing Christians here because Russia invaded Turkey. They are specifically targeting Jews. They don't care if they are Israeli or not. I've got a burned out synagogue two fricking blocks from my house because this white piece of shite burned it because it was Jewish. He didn't say "Israel", he called them Synagogue of Satan. October 7 unleashed these people.

It’s tragic but they’re integrated into everything whether by choice or by force.

Your thread quotes Weiss arguing that Israel's fight is our fight. As part of that PR campaign we are supposed to think that all Muslims hate Jews as part of inherent religious hatred. This gets further spun into Americans should hate Muslims and support the general, existential fight against Muslims and eliminate the Iranian regime specifically.

THOSE MIGHT ALL BE GOOD GOALS.

Americans would be better served by getting the facts...straight from an objective source rather than partial rage bait that is amped up during election season.

Weiss might be correct, but it would be really helpful if we heard from a Palestinian American.

The Beirut Barracks bombing is instructive. Along with the French, we were there nominally as peace keepers during the Lebanese Civil War. Hezbollah thought we weren't neutral AND didn't like foreign soldiers on their soil.

Note Reagans response. He didn't blindly attack. He didn't want to risk a wider war with Syria and Iran. He even later authorized shipments of missiles to Iran in exchange for the release of hostages.

Reagan's approach is all I am wanting. What are the risks and rewards of being Israel's unquestioning benefactor? Is their some kind of death battle that we need to engage in with Muslims? Should we just wash our hands of the Middle East and concentrate on the Western Hemisphere?

Found who she was. Ailsa's story checks out. She was Vivian Silver. Brutaly murdered by Hamas on October 7.

I only questioned you because a few Israelis were killed by Israeli forces on October 7 as part of the Hannibal Directive. They were described as being "burned alive."

I don't think I'm being a scumbag for pointing out that Hezbollah was formed not out of hatred for the Jews, but to fight Israeli incursions into Lebanon.

Again, a territorial dispute---not an inevitable clash of religions.

Personally---willing to be proven wrong about this---I think that the current dispute in the Middle East is mostly about Israel's desire to acquire the Muslim lands necessary to achieve "Greater Israel."

Do you think that's what Israel's goal is? Should we support it? Iran, obviously would be the biggest obstacle to that. That is why the Iranian regime needs to be replaced and the IRGC destroyed.

Found him. I really appreciate a debate format.

They both make some good points. It's disingenuous to paint the majority of people in Gaza as selecting Hamas. The last election was in 2006. About 50% of the population wasn't even ALIVE then. Among those who did vote, Hamas received only 43% (they won with a plurality). So, assuming that ALL people in Gaza voted, as to today, you can only conclude that around 25% of them selected Hamas.

I thought Mosab made excellent points about how little Hamas has actually done for the people of Gaza in all those years of "leadership."

Thanks, Madking. I was impressed...and learned some things.

His story is very interesting, he goes into detail about growing up there, the schools the culture and how he was recruited into Hamas. He’s not a debater, loses his temper

True on both accounts. I watched a debate between him and Cenk Uygur. Both just yelled at each other. Not much light shed.
