Yes - definitely - especially when the future of the United States constitutional form of government is concerned, on cannot be too careful - would not want to take the chance of discovering later on that you made a mistake by unintentional error.
Much better to just vote for the known despot than to have to face yourself in the mirror after them mistake.

That I think she doesn’t come across like a genuine conservative? Do you think I mistakenly typed that out?
Kari Lake has been endorsed by Trump and that’s all that matters to most conservatives. That her opponents are RINOs might make her the better choice, but it doesn’t make her something other than someone whose politics today seem more shaped by opportunity than conviction.
Blake Masters has struggled with the same thing, more so early on than now.
