I hope they learned their lesson after that last playoff game.

Front office got a whole emails from unhappy fans, and people like me telling them i would not renew my season tickets until they made a decision about the Chop.

Also reminded them that if they take away the Chop from the fans, they would have to rename every part of stadium and gear that has anything to do with the chop, like The Chop House.

You do realize you’re basically paralyzed after you get tased, right? Then they could beat you, kill you or whatever. So if someone tries to tase you, you’re not going to protect yourself?

Facts don't matter...those coming down on the cops can't cede this ground or their whole argument demonstrably caves in. It's a shitty hill to fight on but admitting the points about being tased totally knee caps them.

In other words, don't expect an intellectually honest answer.

It’s not that I won’t it is that I probably wouldn’t react w deadly force if someone just out of the blue did it

Just honesty here. There is little of it on this board. Folks here act like a mix of a seal and mma superstar.

In real life where I live most folks freeze.

Yeah, now you're worried about what's legal and illegal. How about driving while intoxicated? That's illegal. Resisting arrest? Illegal. Battery on a Police Officer? Illegal. Firing a taser at a Police Officer? Illegal.

If you hear anything, hear this: PEOPLE ARE GETTING REALLY PISSED OFF THE WAY LIBERALS SELECTIVELY APPLY THE LAW DEPENDING ON WHETHER IT AFFECTS THEM OR BENEFITS THEM. Maybe the police should selectively apply the laws to themselves, in this situation. See how that works?

And you would be dead. Chances are sky high they take your gun from you while you are paralyzed and used it on you or someone else. Good choice.

Chances are sky high you would piss your self, but aren't man enough to admit that you have zero chance of reacting in a way you think. Unless you train daily, you aren't the badass you think.

This attack won't happen in a matter of minutes, this will be a matter of a few seconds.

My child’s basketball team (from south GA) has a tournament in ATL this weekend. One venue is in Stockbridge and the other is near Atlanta University. They say there’s no such thing as a dumb question but I’m probably about to defy that adage: It wouldn’t be a good idea to come would it?

Home invasion when I was younger. I just grabbed my shotgun, and confronted the intruder.

There was no fear, no hesitation.

Nah...that’s why I carry.

Too old to take an arse whipping and too slow to run.

Not trying to split hairs but was it a home invasion or a burglar intruding thinking no one was home?

Most likely be fine

Stockbridge is dumpy but there won't be any issues there. It's a long way from any of the rioting areas

If the other is Atlanta University Center that's a shitty place for a tournament. I'm not aware of anything specific to worry about, but it's closer to where stuff has been going on and in general there are a lot of rough areas nearby.

There are also some gentrifying areas nearby, but I wouldn't be thrilled to do a tournament there in normal circumstances. In all likelihood there would be no issues during the day, but you could get into road closures or the like around that area.

Doesn't really make any difference to the occupant of the home

Yeah I ain’t too worried about Stockbridge (I’m a little familiar). I’ve stopped and even stayed over there quite a few times during my life. I don’t know much about ATL proper though.

I haven't heard anything about it in the past 4 hours on Fox.

I'm sure the APD wouldn't advertise they have no officers but it seems people on the ground would have an idea if there is a notably lower presence.

Probably not “no officers” but a significantly smaller active duty force than normal.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, Atlanta.
