Atlanta Fed upgrades U.S. first-quarter GDP growth view to above 5 percent

Heard this on Rush as well. Would be absolutely amazing. Bad for Dems at midterms. In fact, couldn't think of a worse scenario for them.

looking likely to be a pretty good quarter by all accounts

ny fed also currently projecting 3.1, wsj forecast team projecting 2.6

It's very early for these kinds of projections. We don't even know what last quarter or last year was for that matter. Nice, but don't get ahead of yourself.

true, but atl fed has been pretty decent. if you look at their projections & those of the wsj team it's been pretty useful

unfortunately right now those two groups' projections are pretty far apart but like you say, it's early in the quarter
