They should kill FISA anyway.

fricking that bullshite.

I love the idea of making them choose between something we absolutely need to have (SAVE) and something we absolutely need to get rid of but they consider "must pass legislation." If they attach SAVE to FISA and they pass it it puts all of the people currently against SAVE in an indefensible position.

FISA should be abolished. I hope they do vote on a clean FISA bill, and it fails.

FISA deserves to die on its own (lack of) merits.

There are few things that piss me off more than attaching entire bills to other bills in an effort to horse trade to get various pet projects approved.

Get these crooked frickers on record for both.

Mike Johnson is part of the problem, too.

God, please help us clean up this dirty dog government.

Typically I would agree with you here, but I see the SAVE act is the most vital piece of legislation possible at the moment and feel it needs to be passed no matter how they have to get it done.

The only potential upside to all of this otherwise unnecessary drama is that the embedded assets who have seemingly chained themselves to the levers of power are self-identifying.

Letting them expose themselves wholesale, in front of the nation, God, and everyone clearly demonstrates that they are not on the side of the American people. Carve those positions in stone, then blow the lid off of 2020 to the point the American citizens are damned near in legit torch, pitchfork & tar barrel territory.

If that happens, SAVE America passes out of sheer mortal fear from these treasonous fricks.

Oh, and InB4 one of our usual windowlickers can spray us with their own saliva as they attempt to lisp us to death with their endless "nOtHiNg iS hAppEnInG!" spank bank mantra.

Any time you hear a politician use the word "clean", you know there's some dirty shite happening.

Will they actually kill the FISA reauthorization?

We should champion and support single-issue legislation. Instead we play these shitty games of attaching bills to unrelated things as a poison pill for political points, and nothing ever gets done.

It's very telling how often the Democratic Socialists in Congress coalesce and hold the line while the vast majority of the Recucks fold up like cheap lawn chairs.

I will patiently hold my breath for the first time that something actually happens.

As we see with the SAVE Act’s inevitable lack of passage, the Democrats get things done when they are in power while the Republicans stonewall until Democrats get back in power, they then whine and rinse and repeat.

This system isn’t working anymore.

When a bill that has ~80% support cannot get passed, the system is broken beyond repair.
