I can see you have not read the acts of the apostles. And if you have read it, you did not understand it.
Paul says,
“And I went to Peter to (to get approval) so that my teaching would not be in vain.”
Yep even saint Paul bent the knee to Peter. But not you.
Pride

In Galatians 2 Paul called Peter out for not acting in a manner in line with the gospel. This was your pope getting chewed out for not acting Godly. lol

Have you read it?

The Pope is the vicar of Christ on earth. That is a bit different from a mere monarch. Anyone who denies that is not Catholic.

They very well may be Catholic, but they arent in communion with the Church and its teachings thats for sure

No of that has to do with infallibility either

What do you think papal infallability is?

Why does this matter so much to you? This is my problem with the Catholic system. It is so tied up

Stay on topic please.
We are talking about the correct way to follow Jesus and you have the answers.
“Belief and nothing else”
“I follow the word, the bible, I don’t need a church to tell me what to think”

Why is you interpretation correct and mine wrong?
Why don’t we follow Pauls instructions and take our disputes to the church?
Oh that’s right you don’t believe in churches

You don't want to answer any of that which is fine.

i believe in the church as the body of believers. Not an official church organization on earth that tells us what we should believe. God has given us his word so we can hold those that do teach us accountable if they are not teaching what was passed down in the scriptures.

This I agree with!!!!
And on that note I will listen to the Bible and refrain from pointless arguments
May God bless you for defending the Christ as you understand him.

What then is the appropriate response when the vicar of Christ makes statements that are directly antithetical to the written text of the Bible?

Do you believe in papal infallibility?
Do you pray to or through Mary?
Do you believe in purgatory and venial/mortal sins?
Do you believe the host turns into Jesus on the altar?
Do you believe Mary was sinless?
Do you believe in the assumption?
I could go on but do you believe these things?

If the pope acting in his authority from the chair or ex cathedra or whatever introduces a new doctrine that is not taught in scripture and that doctrine damns souls because people believe that what he said was coming from God when perhaps it was not then the only other place it could be coming from is demons. Therefore the idea that a man on earth can speak infallibly for God in contradiction of scripture is absolutely a demonic doctrine.
