I was coming here to post something similar. I’m sick and tired of giving my fricking money away for stupid shite. More people need to write checks for their taxes each quarter as opposed to having little deductions each pay period. Then they’ll see what they’re actually paying and giving away to these worthless causes.

I pay more for taxes and insurance combined than I take home. It’s disgusting.

This is not a serious country

I lived in VA in several spots 40 years ago. As those fckheads moved south they started bitching about the farmers "with all this land" and pay little in land tax compared to their residential tax. So they changed the tax zoning laws to teach those rich farmers......and ran them off their family farms cause they couldnt afford the tax bill.

Then there was this one ole baw, he was buying a boatload of Pepsi from us and I asked our distribution center manager in Fredericksburg who the guy was. He said one of my farming buddies. He got some agreement with the county in Arlington, they bus these city kids down and he sends them out into the field to pick watermelons, pumpkins, blackberries, depending on the season. They keep a little for themselves, they take some pictures with the cows and goats and stuff. He gives them a little lunch.

So wait, the guy charges them to have them harvest fruit for him, and they bus themselves down and they supervise the kids? Yep, them city folk aint the sharpest bunch when it comes to common sense.
