On another note, I’ve heard that Jon Hamm has expressed interest in playing Batman.
Not sure how I feel about that...now. He would’ve been a far superior choice to Affleck 4 years ago. Now, I just don’t know.

They need to do something with the character. Superman is stale. I could see Michael B Jordan brininging something new. That he’s a minority’s doesn’t really register for me one way or the other.
Who cares about Superman’s color? He is a farking space alien, people.
I do hope that he is cast outside the in-progress DCU series of films. I hate when they change actors for a character during the same story arc.

A lot of the hatedom at this kind of thing comes from the one-dimensional nature of the changes.
Instead of giving the character some depth, they just change the skin tone and/or sex organs and effectively make them into Captain Ethnic instead of an interesting character.
Minority replacement done correctly? Blue Beetle, which went from a middle aged white detective / crimefighter to a teenaged Latino tech based hero who is forcibly bonded with their mechanical scarab, which has its own agenda.
Minority replacement done poorly IMHO? Killing off Vic Savage to replace him with Renee Montoya as The Question so they could have a lesbian Latina superhero. Montoya was an interesting character in her own right but making her a legacy hero cheapened both her and The Question IMHO.
