I like Cavill, but not especially in that role. He was great in “The Tudors”.
That being said, you’re right. The movies sucked. “Wonder Woman” wasn’t bad, but other than that, of late, the DC movies are seriously sucking hind tit with relation to Marvel. And this coming from a guy who preferred DC Comics to Marvel as a kid.

Wonder Woman was pretty cool. Though i couldnt concentrate on the plot because the female lead was so gorgeous. Makes my brain turn off when i look at her.

I suppose their rationale is that Superman isn't real, so they can change his race, sex, etc. The same can be said of Black Panther, but you'll never see a white actor cast in the role of a character who was black in a comic, novel, etc.
We're about to get a black 007, so it was only a matter of time before they cast a black Superman.

Sad, too. The Dark Knight Trilogy (especially “The Dark Knight”, which might be the greatest superhero movie ever) was outstanding. After that, Marvel kicked their game into high gear and DC just wasn’t able to keep up.

They need to do something with the character. Superman is stale. I could see Michael B Jordan bringing something new. That he’s a minority’s doesn’t really register for me one way or the other.

And in fairness, the batman movies had Christopher Nolan and his entire cadre of amazing actors. I havent seen a bad Chris Nolan movie with Christian Bale etc.
