It’s been less woke, real crowds in the arenas, the superstars like Steph and Lebron are sitting at home, many of the series have been competitive going to 7 games, and it’s all teams that haven’t won anything in a long long time.

The only team with a big name star player in a big market (the Clippers) are down 2-1. All the other teams are non-traditional powers (Phoenix, Atlanta, and Milwaukee).

The success of this season’s NBA playoff is a big f u to the sports media that only cares about super star divas and big market teams.

I’m not a big NBA fan, but I have actually been watching a few games and paying way more attention to it than I normally would.

Haven't watched a single game this year (or since the Woke Floyd wave began) but it sounds like the NBA is finally giving the fans what they want.

They aren't up 39% in actual viewers.

Their share is up 39%.

I.E., everything on TV sucks right now.

Never really watched before and I am not watching now. And it is amazing how sports talk ends up on the political talk board now too. It's sad that sports have become so political.

The same dorks that lose their mind someone makes any type of political post on the rant of the SECr will run over here and post sport related shite if it fits their political agenda.

This is good to hear. Sports used to be an escape for me from work, politics, etc. and I miss those days dearly. It’ll probably never be that way again but I wouldn’t complain if it were.

I think people are happy to see some different teams playing. I'm loving the Hawks run.

I’ve watched more this year than last year for sure. I was never boycotting, but I did lose interested with all the Political BS they were pushing. And if you are taking these ratings as a victory lap for the progressive movement, I would counter that Silver did not hesitate to say they would remove political messaging from the product on the court because they knew it turned off viewers.

So I would say if there were people boycotting the political stuff, seems like their boycott worked! Silent majority seems to be right again. Thanks for illustrating that point OP!
