Are you afraid of China? How close to a full scale war with them do you think we are?

Personally, I'm not afraid that we'd lose to them, but I don't believe that our current political situation would allow for a full victory, ala WWII.

Do I think that we're close? I think that we're as close to a full scale war as we've been since the Cold War ended, but I think that'll remain cold for the foreseable future.

I still think that what happened on 6 Aug 1945 and the subsequent advances have kept us from a full scale war with a "near peer".

China is not a peer or a near-peer to the U.S. in terms of Naval forces.

Nobody is, but you can't dispute that our leaders consider China and Russia as near peers.

The USSR was a near-peer in every sense of the word. China does not have the capability to force project into other countries the way Russia still does.

Going to war with any nuclear power scares me especially one that doesnt seem to value the lives of their own citizens much less ours.

Not afraid of China, it's the traitors and weak arse people that we have here, that are a problem. Many would trade any freedom that they have, to avoid a hard day's work.

No we could destroy their fleet in a matter of days. But it would all depend on who joined them, who joined us, and who abstained.
The ground war would be where we would struggle mightily. Massive land mass and massive population and our soldiers and Marines have been fighting nonstop for 19 years. If India joined in it would be an interesting war of attrition with the worlds two largest populations going at it.

would really have to reach the point of no return for China and the US to actually go to war with each other. I don't think it's a bridge either wants to cross. 3 more months, if Biden wins, China is gonna rape the US for everything they can without having to go to war at all.

We may need a large scale war to pull the economy out of the crapper a la WWII and the Great Depression. I am not sure we have the stomachache to win. We have the ability to.

Not really. They were nuclear but really were not on the conventional side. The propagandized like they were but after the curtain fell we found out most of their shite was broken most of the time.

We don’t even try to win wars anymore so a war with China would be a total disaster and probably lead to economic ruin

I don't see anyone taking war to the US on US soil with exception of something happening on the inside. Cyber attacks, attacking bases, attacking ships, but not a US soil attack.

China has a history of playing the geo-political long game better than anyone. CCP knows that America is a stage 4 cancer patient right now due to what the democratic party has evolved into. China will continue to sit back, and just fund democrat orgs inside of America who do their bidding. America as most of us know it is already dead and cannot come back. Total collapse likely in less than 15 years, maybe sooner. China understands history and knows very well what is coming next for America. No need for war.

Not scared of them. Their large population is mostly old or just malnutrioned people. Everything they have is old and from stolen plans.

Their only hope in a real war is the left making it another Vietnam.

If we ever take the gloves off again and go for total victory we would have it.

We benefitted after the end of the war because we were basically the only major industrialized nation that didn't have its country destroyed by the war.

If we could have stayed completely neutral and still had the same outcome we would have recovered much faster and our economy would have grown much faster.

None of That would not be the case in a war with China or Russia. It wold be horrendous

The United States has China surrounded with Military Bases.Throw the U.S. Navy in there.China doesn't want that.

They were f**king us up pretty bad economically before Trump. Now we're climbing out of a "Pandemic " that originated in China.

I'm very wary of China.I don't trust China.

We are already at war with China. Only the very naive refuse to see Covid was a bio-weapon and was created and purposely released to take out Trump by destroying our economy. They are also behind a lot of this BLM/Antifa nonsense.

We may be okay versus with them in a traditional war, but China is showing they are better than us when it comes to unconventional warfare. In fact they are currently kicking our arse and most of our country is clueless that they are even our greatest enemy. So am I afraid of China? Hell yes!!!!
