Probably have about 10 friends on FB, the rest I really don't know. So my feed is really just those 10, the rest I turned off. I'm friends with my friends.

Not losing friends, but seeing them come unhinged is pretty disturbing.

Haven't noticed anyone defriending me on FB, but I don't post much on there and only made one post referencing the election. Nobody negatively responded and if anyone did defriend me then I haven't noticed yet

One acquaintance thats on Twitter who has been tweeting/re-tweeting a whole bunch of anti-Trump stuff for the past 2 days. So I've just been retweeting a bunch of MAGA stuff. Haven't been unfollowed yet

I'm going to lose at least one but he was more of an acquaintance anyway.

When the audio tape of Trump talking about grabbing pussy came out, a male acquaintance who knew my brother and I supported Trump walked up to us and started blasting us for supporting that POS Trump and laughed at us for thinking Trump was going to win. He was so sure that Big Mother was going to win that he opened his big mouth before the election.

What do y'all think I should say to him the next time I run into him?

I won't lose them, but I honestly think that is in large part because at least for now I'm willing to let them vent and implicitly (and pretty close to explicitly) insult the crap out of me and essentially call me a bigot. Right now I'm pretty much just saying that I think they are overreacting and not being intellectually honest or fair, but that I understand their emotion. I'm not really engaging them. I think if I actually aggressively called them out on their bullshite right now our friendship probably would be in danger because I don't think THEY could handle it.

From what I've seen, yes. This is especially true with the liberal millennials that have never lost a presidential election.

Sadly no. These are people in their 30s with 10+ year careers, own homes, have kids. That's why it is so shocking. I'd say my friends are about evenly mixed between conservatives, moderates, liberals. I live in a very liberal area of Atlanta so a lot of the friends I'm seeing melt down about this are neighborhood friends, parents of kids at school, etc. We aren't exactly fitting in politically in the neighborhood right now.

I lost one FB friend. I'm surprised, because I have a shitload of super liberal FB friends and I was on there all day yesterday telling people to get over it.

My 62-year-old aunt is one of the worst right now. Good thing I haven't talked to her in nearly 20 years.

Hi,
Had relatives spouting about the tape, all indignant about how TRUMP talks about "women" until I asked them how they could be such big fans of Two & a Half Men (Top rated show that they all LOVED) and it shut them right up. Nobody was worried about the influence on young Jake in Prime Time, funny, eh?
Living up north now, don't have any "friends" worth keeping to begin with, which is why I'm moving back down South ASAP.

I lurked here throughout the cycle, and just wanted to register to thank y'all because I've had absolutely NO need for TV, or other forums (aside from /r/ T_D due to it being mentioone here) for news. This forum has been a Godsend. I'm stuck in the hellish NE.

No. Any friendships I have are too deep to be unraveled over federal politics.

I have 7 children and have rearded(raised for you uneducated people) 3 of my lazy socialist brothers kids.

I work too much to support my family and the moochers to have time for friends.

No. I have "friends" in their early 40s that are completely losing it. I'm embarrassed for them.

Any "friendship" that you perceived as lost as a result of this election wasn't really a friendship in the first place.
