No matter what the administration has said contrary to it the goal has always been regime change there. It has to be. You cannot do what we’ve done and expect everything to be hunky dory if we just walk away short of getting a new government voted on by the Iranian people. Even that comes with risks. The hardliners are not small in number and they’ll bring the insurgency with them after they lose an election.
Look I don't disagree. This is the quagmire of war in the Middle East and why I am against the policy (MAGA/Trump once claimed to be against that policy, too).

Serious question, are you from the state of Minnesota?

Yes you are… Statement makes no sense… you acting as if you didn’t vote for the republican candidate every election

I’m for the war in the sense that once we went in we have to finish it which only meant one thing even with the inherent risks and losses that we could have. Thankfully that’s been minimal on the human front so far.
If they really were two weeks away from having a nuke (that’s a very hard sell for me) then I wouldn’t have any second thoughts about hitting them as a nuke in their hands (let alone 11 of them) is not something that can be allowed while we’re in a position to do something about it. But we “obliterated” their program 9 months ago.

Either Trump was lying or was lied to… that nuke shite a lie akin to Bush’s WMD myth… everyone knows it…

I’m not in a position to know one way or the other of what the truth really is. So I’ll allow for the possibility but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Trump just said his team told him Iran was just hours away from attacking us. He's going to throw everybody under the bus and then drive it over them.

No, I’m acting on principle. I learned from Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, et al., that these actions in the ME don’t work.
We will create mass refugee crisis that will flood Europe with Muslims (not in the interest of the US or any majority white country).
We will not have victory. Iraq and Afghanistan and Syria illustrate this present day.
I’m concerned also that we will have to put American boots on the ground, which will result in death.
I’ve also realized that these boogie men that Cheney and Lindsey Graham want to always fight never actually seem to live up to their billing.
I’d also rather spend my tax dollars domestically on the many needs of this nation than on Israel.
You a big Lindsey Graham foreign policy fan? What about W Bush and Cheney? Obama foreign policy guy?
I’m actually the conservative here. You guys are being led by the nose down the same path to ruin by neocons (Zionist), rinos and warmongers while our tax dollars are being used to achieve no purpose while your vehicles get beat to shite on failing roads and infrastructure, and while you pay exponentially more than you should for healthcare and while our cities are overrun by thugs and communists.
