In all seriousness, the first question should be "Are these children really being unreasonably separated?"

Maybe they are and may they aren’t, can we at least agree they aren’t being tortured like some idiots around here are wailing.

They're not being waterboarded. I guess that's true. But taking 4 year old kids away from their parents like this is probably pretty traumatic.

Well you know that they are. There's no telling how many kids have been killed. I wouldn't put it past those nazi's to gas the kids. Probably disguised as showers.

How do you feel about removing 4 year olds from parents who make decisions that put those children at risk ( or, at least at risk of having the children removed from them)?

You are looking at the non-ideal result and judging it without regard to the cause.

If a family living in South Chicago is selling crack from their public housing unit and get kicked out and the children removed - is that terrible?

How long is said 4 year away from their parents. You are falling for the narrative.

No probably about it.

If you ever consider foster care our adoption, know that it's a 100% guarantee that the child will have childhood trauma they'll never be rid of for if nothing else but abandonment. Now imagine being forcefully taken away from your parents and not being developed enough in your brain to process that this is only a temporary thing.

There is scientific fact that your have no clue what you're talking about.

And I love the people deflecting with "their parents did this to them", which isn't even the point of this discussion.

Oh sure. Far more traumatic than the extremely dangerous trip they took to get here...
