They are almost entirely a counter to Antifa. That is plain to see for anyone watching. Do you ever see them anywhere except where Antifa is at?

In America, we essentially have ZERO actual fascists, and yet, we have an active movement that labels themselves Antifa (anti fascist.) They're stated goal is to battle fascists.
Crickets...
So...they need to start pointing at others and calling them fascists so that they have something to fight. Then everyday conservatism is suddenly being labeled "fascist" and "white supremacist."
Oddly enough, everyday conservatives don't take kindly to being labeled fascists and some of the more aggressive of these decide to form a group designed to counter-balance the people who are unjustly calling them fascist.
And then suddenly, Antifa now has an adversary that dropped into place that they can point to as the fascists they were fighting all along...despite the fact they literally created them.

Let me drop my thoughts on you guys and explain to you how I believe the the left sees the Proud Boys.
They are white supremacist because they believe in the attributes of Western Civilization. The color of their skin has nothing to do with it, it is they support and promote American exceptionalism and Western Civilization. CRT teaches that people that subscribe to the WC or American exceptionalism point-of-view are colonizer. They are perpetuating views that destroy native cultures and is inherently evil. Most of you are thinking about race through the lens of the 20th century MLK model (black,white, brown and the physical color of one's skin), but in the 21st century you need to think of race through the lens of associative belief. If you are a believer in WC then regardless of your skin tone you can be a "white supremacist." Extreme forms of CRT teaches that the sins of this system are so great that America is completely irredeemable. Therefor the system needs to be replaced with a new enlighten neo-Marixst concept of equality. Remember it is not about skin color, it is about associative beliefs.

Southern Poverty Law Center is corrupt and progressive and if there is any group or organization that is conservative, religious, or opposite of progressives, then they deem them a terrorist, radical, extreme right wing, racist, etc.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is an organization that is racist against white people. In other words, they are racists. That organization needs to be disbanded as they are decisive and not at all inclusive. The hide behind the Word “law” they put in their name to attempt to give themselves credence.

I've never studied them closely but they always seemed to me to be a group of guys who liked to show up at ANTIFA protests so they could fight them.
Earlier, there weren't any cops busting up the Antifa protests so the Proud Boys would roll in and get in scraps with them. Once Antifa wanted them out of the way, then the stories about Proud Boys being white supremacist started appearing in the news.
Once that happened, then the media could toss all the violence upon the Proud Boys instead of Antifa, where it belonged.
If Antifa was left alone to protest, destroy property and assault those who disagreed with them then everything was fine. Once Proud Boys pushed back then it was about a hate group of white supremacist and the violence they were bringing to these peaceful cities.

Based on your user name, I'd assume you lived in Germany for a time. Our press is doing to the Proud Boys what the BBC and British media did to the EDL in England. Portray a group of people with legitimate grievances as racist so you can delegitimize their grievances without addressing them.
