I'm an old fart, (still healthy though) so I got the vaccine back when it first rolled out. I'll probably get a booster shot since the whole point of the thing was to not get sick in the first place.

That being said, I don't think anyone should be browbeating anyone about their personal health. I take umbrage with the idea that all these nurses and doctors are trying to scare people into getting shots. That's real nice. Using scare tactics on adults like some kind of authoritarian doctrine is going to sway opinions.

People wonder where conspiracy theories come from. It's exactly the kind of messaging used by the medical "community" that's causing it. Just give people facts and make it available. This is still supposed to be a free country. If we can't make our own decisions about our health, then who knows what mandate is next?

Me

If I have to go through the side effects I went through after the second shot every 8 months, I will probably just say frick that and not get the booster.

They're boosting everyone's feelings who gets them basically. They think it will make them less fearful rather than admit they have no idea what the Hell they are doing right now. With the vaxxes and Afghanistan, seems to be developing a pattern and not over small insignificant subjects as well.

LOL

they are going to keep sticking these guinea pigs with boosters, till they turn into mongoloids.

The Science said 1 shot(or 2), and you would NEVER have to wear a mask, and you were good to go.

fricking vaxxers are walking infestations, and now will have to keep getting the boosters

Yeah, but not every 6 mos. If that's the case then these vaccines are nothing more than a placebo an we, the American people, have been sold a bag of rotting dicks.

Are you apprehensive about boosters for the flu, or polio, or measles or any of the other booster shots given to millions of kids every year? If not, this isn't any different. we get flu shots every year- so what ?

I don't and I've never had the flu. On the other hand, my wife got the flu shot a few years ago and then got the flu. They told her the flu shot was the wrong strain that year

But please, follow the "science"

I'm not understanding what we are supposed to be "boosting" here. Is the vaccine not working properly because I haven't gotten a booster? Was that something that happened over time or was in some sort of flaw in the original doses?

It's probably working properly, but if the Delta variant is a robust strain, then the booster would give antigens for that strain. It's not uncommon for shots to have boosters, but also it is not uncommon for vaccines to contain multiple serotypes. Given that we are dealing with a relatively new virus with a high mutation rate, boosters that add protection for new serotypes shouldn't be regarded as unusual.
