Everyone just attacks the messenger, but anyone who's Catholic should be a little upset about that. Priests aren't suppose to put millions into a home...it's suppose to go to the diocese or to Catholic charities to help the poor.
Yeah though, let's jump on Toddy for posting a legitimate story.

Hopefully all 2.2 mill goes to building camps for homosexuals.

2.2 million dollars of new construction in Atlanta does not buy a "mansion". Try again.

What's the big deal, you seen Osteen's place? Makes this one looks like a shack.

Yet you guys are ok if Harry Reid is a multimillionaire on supposedly just his government salary.....

So he makes a mistake and is now trying to make it right and you have a problem with that?
This is why most people don't take gays seriously cause you drama queens have selective outrage over things of no consequence.

Lmao! He's killing it. 10 million dollar river oaks mansion and a 40 million net worth.
By comparison Atlanta arch bishop living in a starter home.

Yeah...apparently he didn't build the house with the $2.2 million. The house was given to him. Still...he shouldn't have moved into it and kudos for him for realizing his mistake.
He screwed up, realized his mistake, and apologized for it. As Catholics and as Christians, we should learn to practice the act of forgiveness.

Deflect from the obviously embarrassing story on Catholics by demonizing the OP's sexuality. Great strategy, homophobe.

So Reuters is lying? Please provide a link showing that Reuters is lying.

Doesn't "phobe" mean someone who is scared of something?? Why do people like you think anyone is scared of gays??
Posted on 4/4/14 at 7:35 am to Rickety Cricket
He made a mistake and he is admitting that he did...How is it overly embarrassing? People even the Archbishop makes mistakes it called being HUMAN.
Call me a homophobe if you want but selective outrage is rampant in the gay community.

The property was donated to the archdioceses by Joseph Mitchell, the nephew of Margaret Mitchell (author of Gone With the Wind). The archdioceses used the $2.2 million to demolish much of the house and redesign the mansion into a tudor-style home.
He has since abandoned his plan to live in the house and has opened it up the home for priests, the poor, and the elderly.

I wonder what you would say if this story was about a democrat? You'd probably show "selective outrage".

I'm not gay and I think it's ridiculous that this guy thought it would go over well to move into a 2 million dollar home.

I agree that it is as well he should never have moved into that size of a home. Is it ok for other pastors and preachers for them to move into homes that big as well?
People like Creflo Dollar and few other TV preachers you see. Is ok for them to,live in homes that big or is just Catholics that aren't allowed?
