Landry signed the legislation from a Catholic school auditorium after announcing that he “can’t wait to be sued” by turning Louisiana into the first state to mandate the Ten Commandments in schools.

Idiot.

What a waste of time and money.

Louisiana is 50th in education - maybe put up the ABCs instead.

So we don't have freedom of religion nor freedom of speech.

Can other religions put their stuff up in classrooms?

When I was in school, 60 years a ago, you could not imagine that reading the Bible would ever be considered a threat to anyone.
Now a Muslim Communist is the hero of the Democrats, and they are ashamed of Jesus.

Why is this a federal issue?

Because they were challenging that the law violated the constitution

Agreed. Displaying the Ten Commandments in classrooms obviously should be allowed.

It’s a wasteful virtue signal from Landry.

Nah. Landry did it because he knew another lawsuit would follow, and he and his grifter lawyer friends could rake in more tax money fighting for this.

Landry is a POS that is only looking out for his fellow attorneys. He doesn't care about promoting what is right.

You should be offended Jeff Landry thinks you’re dumb enough to fall for this transparent, red meat, virtue signal.

I personally don't have an issue with the posting of the commandments but it should not be mandated.

Reasoning is that if mandated then who is to stop NYC from mandating the Quran to be read from every morning or…..

Well it was a painfully fricking stupid law and the legislature should be embarrassed

The fact the state plans to appeal this is hilariously stupid. The Supreme Court if it gets there is going to knock their dicks off most likely with a 9-0 ruling. fricking morons

They should be ruled unconstitutional from a graphic design standpoint alone.

Why not put them in the prisons? You Christian fundamentalist seem to be under the impression that the very proximity of the Ten Commandments is enough to turn people around.

Exactly! The fundamentalists are too dense to comprehend that.

Why are we wasting time and resources on this stupid law. We have much bigger issues to worry about in Louisiana.
