Direct comparisons like hers are problematic but that also extends to the cost of living counter punch as even that burden is variable in their society.

Yea, and I bet a Big Mack in Denmark costs $15 too. I also bet their workers can speak English much more proficiently than the average Micky Ds worker in the US and it isn't even their first language. So there's that. But that's "racist" for me to bring it up, don't cha know?

Are there numbers on how many workers are at each Denmark McDonald's compared to a similar American one? I'm going out on a limb here and state in Denmark they could probably get by with say 4-6 employees, whereas here McDonald's would need 8-10.

I can't find any information like that on my phone, I did find a pdf that listed staff cost at 113,375 DKK for the year of 2015.

The old fallacy where we cherry pick things around the world to compare them to the US. Denmark does this, France does that and wait til you see what they are doing in Greece! Take the things that sound the best from around the continent and just call it “Europe”
Oh and I have been to McDonald’s in Copenhagen. The one noticeable difference when you walk in is ordering kiosks.

What is lost in all this is that adults shouldn't be relying on a McDonalds job to earn a living. That is where we are as a country. Fast food jobs should be for teenagers.

I remember a few years back McDonalds was offering to pay starters at $21.00 in some North Dakota restaurants. The was the labor market price.
