I recommend watching it again.

Without expectations and already knowing what will happen -- on the second watch -- I believe Trump dominated the conversation and overall, won the debate, easily.

Yes, he missed a lot of opportunities that have been discussed here.

But Joe was defensive and the personal attacks came across as impulsive and weak -- rambling platitudes instead of policy when he wasn't being defensive.

Trump came across as calculated and being on the offensive -- he lured Biden into several lapses where he was forced to disavow the Bernie-base...

Note the media calling for "No More Debates".. Trump bullied this guy and they know it..

Maybe Americans don't want the President to be seen as a bully -- but they sure as hell won't tolerate a President who CAN BE BULLIED.

Do I have to play the same drinking game upon rewatch? I don’t want to get alcohol poisoning again.

I agree. Watched most of it again this morning. Trump landed some heavy shots and Biden was at a loss for words quite a bit. Wallace is an a-hole.

If trump obviously lost and looked terrible why is the leftist media calling for no more debates......

Exactly. The narrative is that it's "unbecoming" but since when does the media not want MORE of everything that can be deemed controversial?

Obviously it comes with the benefit of being President but I was amazed at how sharp TRUMP was on policy and his command of the facts, in 2016 he was more bluster and landed lots of shots with zingers on Clinton, but last night he was much more substantive and beat Biden soundly on policy.

Please share your take after you watch again! It was like watching a movie again I thought was kind of bad but it turned out to be pretty good after I adjusted my expectations.

One migraine was enough. Chris Wallace's voice should be used as an interrogation technique in Counterintelligence Ops

I watched it again today (was drinking last night) and I still got ticked that Biden called trump a liar, a racist, a clown, and said "shut up man." But on the second watch what really ticked me off was how that jackass Wallace was treating Trump. Didnt notice it that much last night. Totally disgusting.

But all in all, Trump clearly won the debate and the way he went for Biden's jugular on the law and order and race issues were priceless.

Then to top off my day, I saw the Biden ad using last nights "are you willing tonight to disavow white supremecy" and using a photo of Rittenhouse. I hope and pray that Rittenhouse's attorneys sue his demonrat arse.

I've watched it closely and believe Bongino's view sticks.

Because they talked over each other at times, it was difficult to make out the first time. But the President did a great job of getting Biden to state a position, then call him out for what ideological group he just lost. Each time he did this, Biden's poor little 8-bit processor would swap, causing him to delay then (eventually) respond.

Biden looked 'stately' but that was it. He made the mistake of wrestling Boss hog in the mud and we know how that turns out.

I stated in another thread this may not help baws who either tuned out or only watched once but the President won this debate. There was one candidate with fire, passion and energy; who has been through Hell for this country these past four years. The other was trying to stay awake.

The reason they want to cancel the other debates is because they can't compete with someone like Trump. They won't cancel, because Trump would look like he made yet another quit -- but don't underestimate the damage done to Biden last night.

EDIT: (next post)

BTW, for confirmational bias... just watch this segment of 'The Five'. Once you get past Gutfeld's opening, he goes to Jesse (~ 3:30), with Greg stating 'you told me, like a lot of people, you watched it twice...'

'Trump crushed him on the re-watch' states Jesse.

How about when Trump was calling out Minnesota, Chicago, New York for their upticks in violence and the fact they’re Democratic run cities and Biden utters “Republican cities.”

What a complete, bold face lying, idiot!

Joe interrupted first, so that set the tone of the evening.

Trump still makes some tactical errors, but hearing it again, he did far better than the MSM will admit.

I noticed this as well. In 2016 he was a lot of flash and big promises.

Last night he really did have a huge control on facts and policy especially compared to his past debates.

Exactly.
They would try and move the next debates up sooner.
What a joke.
