Austin makes wild assumptions of Putin invading fricking Europe in order to serve his political preferences.
Where are all the media types condemning him for parroting "wild, unproven conspiracy theories"? Where is the evidence that Putin wants to unilaterally invade Europe? Its insane.

If they try to send anyone to war, just don’t go. If they come to arrest you, then just do that which they would have asked of you if you were dropped off on the battlefield in Ukraine. At least you’d be doing it for a real cause.

The president has no authority to go to war. That right is granted to Congress exclusively
The war powers act was a law of congress abdicating their own responsibility and authority but constitutionally they can reclaim that power any time they wish

This administration is pushing the old "domino theory", ie, first Ukraine, then Poland, then Baltics, etc, etc. It was never the case in SE Asia, and is not the case here.

There are valid arguments to be made each way, but you can’t just make up facts.
What the SecDef said is almost exactly what Winston Churchill said in 1939. Where Churchill was right, Austin might very well be wrong, but neither Austin, nor Churchill were blackmailing anyone.
