Please pardon my rant. I don't need to be talked off a ledge and I'm not going to make a viral screaming video or go out and start burning shite up and beating Democrats in the street (however tempting that may be).

My most recent gripe is the Steve Inskeep interview with Michael Anton this morning. I'm not going to link NPR here. But you can search and find it if you're interested. The tweet about the article is just filled with people commenting about how Anton is delusional or wacky. Anton is brilliant and sensible.

In the larger sense, I am just dumbfounded at how ~half the people in this country are absolute morons. I know it's my own fault for venturing onto Twitter, etc. but there's thousands of people talking about the blue wave, disrespecting the President, ignoring the Biden family crimes. Just pure delusion that these people refuse to see what's right in front of them. How can you irrationally dislike someone so much that you will willfully vote for the worst presidential candidate since Walter Mondale. Even worse, probably. People just continue to parrot these talking points that Trump and his followers are racist, sexist, misogynistic, bigoted.. with no evidence to support it. And they get away with it.

If Biden somehow wins, I'm still going to get up and go to work and live my life like the rest of my fellow patriots here. But our lives will be irreparably changed if that happens. How do people not see this? Or worse.. how do they see it and still not care?

Why is it US who are targeted for supporting the President or having a Trump sign in our yard or a sticker in our car? This is the most arse backwards shite. We're made out to be the ones who are crazy or intolerant.

I'd probably be better off if I just stopped going online (outside of this board, that is) but I just can't look away. I feel like it's my duty to be informed and prepare for what's coming. What I see and hear on MSM does not match with what I see at Trump rallies. I'm just concerned for our future. Most of us just want to earn a living, take care of our family, and enjoy life.

Call me soft or weak for venting, but my irl friends got tired of hearing all this so I figured I'd share with other likeminded people. God bless all of you and I hope you won't get discouraged and you'll continue fighting for what's right.

I probably should've just typed this up in a Word document and saved it for myself, but I've had too much coffee this morning

/rant

The worst ones are those who know Biden et al are shitheads and will still vote for him to “calm” things down. That’s a loser mentality. Fight for something.

I feel pretty sane Just had to vent and this board felt like an appropriate place. Amidst all the flaming and bashing on here, I think it is primarily filled with good people who want what's best for their country.

You are attempting to rationalize the electorate as well as people's actions in general when it comes to an election...

Either you like banging your head against a brick wall or your sanity is in peril... It is not a knock, sometimes you just have to say "God bless all the ignorant people" and move on...

I love a good rant. Always makes me feel better.

Plus it’s way more dignified to do it anonymously on a political message board than like those insane fat girls who freak out in their cars and put it on video.

That's a good point. I've already voted so I've done what I can do. For whatever my one vote is worth. We'll get through this

Just got back from Disney...I guess I’ve been sheltered in Baton Rouge or maybe Disney just attracts the dumbest scared sheep people I’ve ever seen. God help us if these people are the majority of Americans. It really is the movie Idiocracy come to life.

Everything will be okay, my dude.

If Biden winds up winning, just have to give it four years and hopefully the Republicans come up with a strong candidate by then.

Just remember how you felt in 2016 at this point in time.

Most conservatives had basically given up. While polls had been a little wrong in the past, they had never been THAT F*CKING WRONG. Most us didn't think Trump had a chance when we woke up on November 8, 2016.

Watching the returns beginning at 8:00 p.m. were magical. I stayed up to 4 in the morning watching the coverage and then wok up at 7 to watch the morning show meltdowns. I just called into work on November 9th and took a vacation day.

So, at least we understand that we have a damn good chance to win this time. If we can somehow limit the MASSIVE F*CKING VOTER FRAUD these mail-in ballots have created, we will win.

Regardless of what the polls say, we know we have a good chance of winning. In fact, if Trump is within 9 points and greater than a 5% chance of winning, we'll know that we have a DAMN GOOD CHANCE of winning.

Keep your head up!

The FBI and Republicans not investigating the Biden thing infuriates me.

I want either someone in prison or an explanation of why they shouldn't be in prison... But I know we'll get neither.

I am going between sadness and anger. Anger because so many are beyond intellectual curiosity or having any solid philosophical foundation and sad because I was part of the problem.

My generation was the generation of apathy. We not only were not particularly angry about politics, we were proud not to have any real interest. I don't have children, but the people my age who do too often were more worried about their kids seeing them as "old" or boring then guiding them and teaching them. Instead, they were taught by a twisted education system, a twisted 24/7 corporate television empire who preyed on their need to NOT be like their apathetic, self-involved parents and be WOKE. Now we have a very activist, very ignorant Lord of the Flies generation of youth voting, being made executives and board members in major corporations and a slew of narcissistic fools who refuse to see the foundations washing out from under them.

All I can say is that if you have kids, be their parent and not their friend. Don't allow others to fill that role for you. We may have lost too much ground already, but it will be kids growing up today who will have to fight to take it back.

10’s of millions feel the same.

When I take my dog for the last walk of the night recently, I gaze upon Mars and think “living there alone wouldn’t be so bad”. Stop the freaking planet, I’m ready to get off.

You stepped into a world that fosters the nutjobs among us... They create and support many of the problems that we are facing today... Why would you expect to see people that support Trump in a majority in that place?

This is what is actually going on. Intelligent people that can plan for the future recognize that life is expensive and are producing less offspring is practical to ensure you have sufficient funds to pay for the American Dream.

The rest of the population figures the government will bail them out pay for them so they just keep breeding and they are noticed to vote for more government assistance and there votes all count the same.

America is slowly working its way to the tipping point were more than half of the population is supported by the government to make ends meets once it occurs the end will come quicker.

Unfortunately this was always the inevitable end of allowing people who don’t pay into the system to decide how the money gets spent.

If Biden wins I’m going to war. I’m past the point of trying to do this the right way. Obama nearly destroyed the country. Biden is going to completely sell us out to China if he wins.

Two quotes come to mind:

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury
