Anybody else getting a ridiculous amount of requests from the IRS on past years returns?

I have never, ever messed with my taxes in my life, but I am getting bombarded with personal and business inquiries to the point where I am getting PTSD to go to the mailbox...I kind of feel like I am on some MAGA list somewhere...it's really weird and concerning.

I got a letter recently that I owed them $91 for 2022. It probably would have cost me hundreds of dollars to have my accountant research and correct it, so I just paid the $91.

That's why I pay for audit defense every year. If they ever contact me, the audit defense company tells them to only contact them and not to call me directly.

The didn't hire 80,000 people to sit idle. Now they need to find people who didn't pay their fair share. Audits are going to be through the roof.

Legit...this latest is a certified letter I have to go pick up for my LLC..
The others have been for as little as 31.00 owed through a math error. Somebody told me that AI is catching all kinds of weird stuff on top of the new hires..

I got a check back for $3700 overpayment, and then got a bill for delinquent taxes for $1050. Not very efficient.
My mom got a bill from Social Security saying they'd overpaid her a little over $1500 since 2020 and wanted a check.
Medicare has not paid since Change Healthcare hack February 21st. Those mf'ers owe me a couple hundred grand and want to nitpick me for $1050?
