Mexican eateries regularly recycle unfinished meals when they clean off tables. Why do you think they call them refried beans?
If the food that a customer left looks presentable, they’ll serve it to a new customer. If not they’ll just throw it into a pot and make burritos from the amalgamation. Chinese restaurants will recycle, too.
Lowers overhead. Capitalism at full throttle.
