As someone who lives here, the answer is no.

Denver metro is way to blue for the rest of the state to overtake it.

Very good read and tells how they flipped Colorado to blue.

Started with the passage of the gay marriage amendment.

Some very very rich gay men who were self made got really really ticked off. They hired top notch political consultants. Built up technology operation since its what they knew, listened to the consultants, funded state versions of media matters to smear Republicans or any opposition, then brought technology to canvassing and GOTV efforts in ways that had not been done before.

Tried it in Iowa but they were finally beaten back.
