I don’t know why but I envision that you are a tranny. It is the only thing that can explain your actions.

im a normal, straight white guy. i get a little edgy sometimes alternating between stubble and a beard, but if you met me, you would just assume i am a republican, like everyone here i meet does.

Do you get upset that your fellow liberals gender, race, and politically profile you?

i respect your right to bear arms, but that doesnt mean i have to agree that it’s necessary.

I'm not sure how you don't see the importance of owning a firearm, but we can agree to disagree.

I'm glad you acknowledged it's a right.

Strange!! The leftist media and their faithful followers have been trashing the "Gun Nuts" and "Preppers" and "Doomsday Cultists" for years. Now suddenly they seem to be searching for weapons in preparation for the breakdown of societal norms and hoarding all of the toilet paper, hand sanitizer and basic commodities that they can get their hands on.

Some of us who were born in aged, un-insulated frame farmhouses from the 1800's that had wood stoves for cooking and heating, and no electricity, where running water came from the hand pump outside if you operated the handle with conviction, baths were on Saturday night in the washtub set up in the middle of the kitchen floor, and the "facilities" were at the end of the boardwalk back by the grove. We remember those times and we have never forgotten the self reliance of gardening, canning, stocking the root cellar, butchering, rendering lard, hunting and fishing for the pot, etc. etc. and we will survive - if the internet doesn't go down.

1891 Argentine Ludwig Loewe Mauser. This is a very interesting antique.

Like the L.A. riots, when Charleton Heston said all his liberal anti-gun friends asked him to borrow one of his guns.

I have two coworkers here in FL who are transplants from Chicago and New York. Over the two years I’ve worked with them, any time I’ve mentioned hunting or going shooting over the weekend they’ve always thrown shade at me for being a gun owner.

Queue Coronavirus, empty shelves, and media hysteria. It was one of the sweetest moments of my life when one of them approached me about borrowing a gun until this thing blows over. When I asked if he’d ever owned a gun, shot a gun, or have a place to secure it, he course said no. The look on his when I told them it wouldn’t be responsible of me to give him a gun was priceless.

are these the responsible gun owners i hear so much about? or are these criminals who stole their guns from responsible gun owners who, ostensibly, purchased those guns for protection of their stuff

if guns can be stolen from gun owners, what security am i getting from a gun that i cant get elsewhere?

Ask an innocent question and immediately I am branded a bandit. Damn, what has this board come to?

So, do you have guns?

That’s fine, I’m just trying to find out your reasoning.

amazing how unpopular my decision is that impacts only me and mine.

The decision is yours to make.

what am i needing to defend myself from? do you think we are about to descend to anarchy now, moreso than 2 weeks ago? 2 months ago? 2 years ago?

Who knows? You never expect to be a victim. As far as descending into anarchy? Not at all. Why would I think that? What does having guns have to do with anarchy?

I have guns because I like to shoot. I like to shoot a lot. A lot a lot. It’s fun. I have an assload of property And I like to shoot on said property. It is also nice to know that should someone try to break into my home I can at least attempt to defend myself at any range and not have to depend on someone else to come to my rescue.

But why? Where does this phobia come from?

nothing about this situation is improved by now owning a weapon.

Being able to defend oneself is always an improvement over being an easy target.

I can understand people just not wanting guns around. I am very pro 2nd amendment. I have several rifles and shotguns, but I never wanted a handgun around because I used to party a lot and have always had a quick temper. So I really did not not want to risk having handguns around. I am single, and don’t really need to protect anyone else. If something were to happen to me, it would because that was God’s plan. I do have a handgun now because my elderly father gave me one of his 1918s.

This doesn’t even make sense........

A gun gives you a far better ability to defend yourself and your property from another person than any other weapon or utility.

God made man. Colt made man equal.
