Kennedy is such a piece of shite, who tailors his decisions to whatever he thinks will make him the most popular. He has zero principles nor method of interpretation. For as crappy as the left wing 4 are, at least you know how they will come down consistently.

I think its 40/60 Thomas retires this year. I think he waits to see how the mid-terms go for the US Senate.
He saw what happened with ginzzberg & breyer, who should have retired early in obamas term, when the dem had the US Senate.
ginzzberg and breyer are hanging n by a string.
If the GOP can build/expand on their majority in the US Senate for the 2018 mid-terms, which will probably happen, I think he stays on at least until the end of Trumps term in 2020. We will see.
Thomas has been treated been unfairly and unusually harsh by the media and the left BUT he has been money for the conservative cause.
He has been a little wishy-washy concerning his 'retirement'. Thomas is approaching 70 years old has been splendid and will go down as one of the best Supreme Court Justices in the histore' of our great Republic.
Its hard pill for a man/woman to admit that ole father-time has caught up with them and that its time to pass the torch on to the next generation.

The next one will likely be a female if I had to guess. Diane Sykes would be perfect. Textualist, regarded as slightly more right than Gorsuch, a woman and she's reletively young. It would be nice to have a conservative woman on the bench. Plus she doesn't carry the baggage Pryor does

You have to wonder. Even though Libs agenda is equality and globalism, which if taken generally could be considered somewhat noble, however it stil has to be bounced up against a more literal interpretation of the constitution, so as along as SCOTUS remains more conservative, the checks and balances remain in place.
Is it possible that even a practical minded dem justice might realize this and intentionally grant Trump another pick?
