There are a lot of scientists living down there. Since 'the science is settled' about CO2 destroying the planet, I'll bet those scientists heat their buildings with solar panels and windmills.

Extreme cold and hot daily temperatures will always occur from time to time. That's what helps determine the average daily temperature.

There are times your sarcasm is off the charts.

The media was hopping on the record low Antarctic ice pack levels but buried deep down in these alarmist articles they mention the reason why; wind patterns. Or they don’t mention the real reason at all so you come to the conclusion that communism is the only solution to solve this problem.

Clearly you don’t know how this works so I’ll explain it. If it gets too hot, the ice caps melt. If it gets too cold, more ice forms. If more ice forms, that’s all the MORE ice that could melt.

Yeah I've read the solar ice caps have been increasing in mass. Not good for climate pushers.

Well, the past two winters were La Nina winters, but it appears the El Nino winter returns this year.

I expect more moisture and when cold, bone chillin'.

The climate system is not a simple one, nor is it a well understood one — don’t let anyone fool you otherwise, there is still much up for debate.

Nor is it a single "unit." Which is why the concept of "global" temperature- which is fundamental to climate change/global warming orthodoxy - is retarded.

I will stick with the sun and the earth's tilt, while being very aware volcanic activity can wreak havoc one way or the other.

1980 was the worst I can remember. Over 100 every day, no rain for months, NW La.

That just means somewhere else, it was cooler than normal.

I was just talking about that summer of 1980 with a friend. I remember it well. In central Alabama I specifically remember multiple days of 104-106 and that’s actual temperature, not ‘feels like’.

I also remember in 1996 I drove my wife to the hospital in early February to deliver our 2nd child with ice on the roads. The low that morning was -2, also actual temperature. It gets hot in the summer, some years excessively, and it gets cold in winter, some years excessively. There have always been weather extremes and there always will be.
