Here is a YouTube video of John Trump from a documentary called Eye of the Storm in which he talks about reviewing Tesla's papers in 1943. He speaks of Tesla talking to the governments of England and Russia about a "secret weapon" he had developed which he describes as essentially a directed energy weapon that he was wanting to sell to those governments to help them defeat the Nazis.
John Trump says he didn't find anything of note, but all of his research was confiscated my the Office of Alien Property and it is known that someone else accessed his safe and his research before Trump did.

I've seen a couple of people here try to be dismissive of APL, but I think she's smarter than people want to give her credit for being. She's probably underrated by some because, especially by political standards, she's quite the looker.

Smeared by Edison should be a badge of honor. Tesla had engineered a way to provide free electricity to the masses through wireless towers. Edison was too busy electrocuting elephants. JP Morgan pulled Tesla's investment funding because Westinghouse screamed holy hell.

The guy making that claim is Hal Puthoff. Stanford PhD in physics. Went on to work for both the NSA and CIA.

In Tesla's case he was a genius who was also prone to having a case of the dumb. His Wardenclyffe project ballooned to like 4 times what he told Morgan it would cost because he was trying to scale it up into a global system. He should have simply kept it at what he said he intended to use it for in the first place. He would have beaten Marconi to the punch on transatlantic radio communication (Marconi was using his frickin patents anyways) and wouldn't have gone broke.
