Oh, then your point is dumb. This is a case of where if you don't want people calling you stupid, then don't act stupidly.

Cubbs. You know I’m a fan. What if a certain posters wife was killed by someone who is in Angola? Should that poster feel bad they are working in heat?

I’m happy you’re working on your PHD. I’m defending mine soon. In your studies have you considered the victims families?
My experience in getting the PHD is that chapter 1-3 isn’t too tough. But chapter 4….

Hey! I’m not really saying anyone should or shouldn’t feel bad.

We can all agree that working fields in 100+ degree heat is dangerous. Not everyone in Angola is convicted of violent crimes and not everyone in Angola is guilty of what he was convicted of.

ETA: you are working on a whole collection of degrees! Don’t you have like 3 already? Impressive and congratulations! Good luck defending but I’m sure you don’t need it.

You know I’m a lifetime student. You to the point where you defend? If so. Awesome for you.

Personality types and jury selection. The PHD will be in psychology. If I can ever finish this shite.

so the only alternative to working the fields in 100+ degree heat is hanging out at a country club?

No. It’s not the only alternative.

The other alternative? It’s called not committing crime.

Absolutely foreign concept.. I know. But we think outside the box here.

cubbies, have you ever read Mark Carelton's book on Angola?

It was a required text in Louisiana History back in the 1970's (a wonderful man that we lost much too soon to cancer)

He was still assigning it in the early 90s.

There are a bunch of long-term Angola prisoners, 20-60+ years served there.

It’s interesting that the men here love to clutch to the low hanging fruit and scream “sHe’S EmOtiOnAL!1!1!111” instead of actually posing a critical argument.
So your knowledge about life at Angola comes from your attendance at the annual prison rodeo.
"
Are there any factoids in the course of doing your post-graduate publication related work in which you contrast your expressed support of The Russian Revolution and their prisons or judicial actions - or extra-judicial actions.

You seem to hanker for some iteration of Mr. Marx and Mr. Hegel's dialectics and their consequences; what parts of the behaviors of their adherents and their actions make you enamored of such movement, as you have expressed here repeatedly?

Any opinion of the genocides they perpetrated in their pursuit of the same thing you pursue? 70,000,000 ethnic Russians murdered would be a good beginning point. The 150,000,000 that followed the next 100 years would make for a good followup.

What part of incarceration perpetrated by your fellow travelers make you most ready to march for your cause?

Any work in these areas?"

I can’t say there has never been anyone to serve their entire sentence there, and I’m sure that inmates aren’t shuffled around as much (or maybe even at all) once they hit “criminal menopause.” Someone on death row won’t be moved around from facility to facility, either.

You mean 100% of the population there? If you ask?

Fella. My dad and his workers roughed in plumbing and electrical in the foundations of everything from warehouses to storage sheds in the blazing summer sun. I know. I was there too in the summer.

People do this shite every day outside of prison. Ask a roofer if working a field in summer is hot.

Hell….. the democrat party says this one of the big reasons why the border is flung wide open. “To do the jobs Americans won’t do.” Remember?

An allusion to testicles, no doubt.

At Angola, life sentences don’t always mean that it’s the end

My dad was assistant warden there in the late 70's early 80's. That place is a psychological nightmare from what he's told me years ago. I'm sure the inmates were thinking about the jail conditions while they were committing their crimes.frick'em.....
