I used the last of a 12 pack of air filters yesterday for my A/C. Went on Amazon to order another box of 12.

Had to look at my previous purchases and had to go back to August 2018. I paid $59 for a 12 pack of filters back then. Was going to reorder the same ones. That same 12 pack is now $179. WTF? 5 years, 300% increase in price.

And yes, I’ve only used 12 filters in 5 years. I need to change my filters more often.

You sure it's from the same seller and I dont mean the same brand. Amazons prices can sometimes vary wildly. I would check prices elsewhere.

I get the Ace Hardware brand. They're always priced reasonably... I think..

I haven't bought any in a while. Traded some tomatoes out of my garden for a case of filters with my neighbor. He's in HVAC. I gave him some, he later gave me the filters. We didn't set up a trade or anything. We were both just being nice.

I have two K&N filters for mine. Pull one to clean, put previously cleaned and dry one right back in.

I can't remember the price five years ago but I know the price I paid at Wal-Mart this year is about 20% higher than last year.

My wife asks me to change the filters every month. I add some vinegar to the drain line and blow it out, but I don't change the filter, but every 3-4 months, as it just isn't that dirty. I will get caught if she ever counts the filter inventory...

What size? I can hook you up with a 12 pack for probably $75 with tax.

Well in my defense, every time I change them they really aren’t very bad. Our house just doesn’t have a lot of dust apparently.

I went to buy some filters about a year ago at Walmart and had sticker shock.

That sounds like more than the 3% inflation rate Bidenomics provided for Americans

Went to Home Depot last weekend and bought a couple of small boxwood shrubs for $40/ea.....5 years ago those shrubs would have been $20/ea.

The tomato sauce I use was about $4 a jar in 2020. It is $10 now.
