Who do they think the National Guard troops are?
They are just regular doctors and nurses, who are in the National Guard. They are just taking healthcare workers from one location and sending them to another. They haven't increased the pool of workers.

Since Guardsmen are mostly part time, and have careers outside of the NG, I'm assuming the "medically trained" troops already have jobs in the medical field, so wouldn't they be forced to give up their high-paying medical jobs to do the same job for NG pay.
Also, how do you fire people in the medical field and then take people already in the medical field to replace those fired?

IIRC, she isn’t hugely liked by the lefties in her state because she was a relatively centrist Dem while in Congress because her district was red.
