Are you sure you want to open that door?

That door was kicked open when sanctuary cities/states refused to hand over illegal immigrants in their local prisons with deportation orders .
Game on. Ignore this fig judge's orders and carry on.

No door left. It was already removed from its hinges by Biden/Obama.

Thought SCOTUS ruled federal judges can only make rulings within their own district??

That door has already been opened. Trump v CASA
Writing for the majority, Justice Amy Coney Barrett stated that injunctions must be strictly tailored to provide complete relief only to the specific plaintiffs with standing before the court. The majority found that universal injunctions exceed traditional equitable powers granted by Congress because they are "conspicuously non-existent for most of the nation's history" and lack roots in early English Chancery practice.
***EDIT*** Let me be clear on this, the judge's ruling against ICE enforcement is against the law so ignoring it is to follow the law.

Didn't the Supreme Court say that district courts couldn't do this? I think they did.

Arrest the judge.
The courthouse is LITERAL federal property.

Drives me crazy how Trump has listened to obviously unconstitutional judgements. I get it at first to show the people but now it’s beyond ridiculous. People would support him more to ignore the blatant ones

Judges have been ignoring higher Orders for years now. Have you been under a rock?
Posted on 10/5/26 at 8:14 am to boogiewoogie1978
Absolutely. Can tear it down without ripping it open

That door has been opened previously. Thank you, Andrew Jackson.

If ICE complies with this order.....wont they be in violation of the supreme court ruling?
And this nonsense about a judge is appointed for life and nothing can be done, we just arrested one for harboring an illegal.
If they violate a supreme court ruling arrest them.
The supreme court with their wishy washy interpretations are causing this mess. They are akin to the NCAA.

It's quite ironic that the discussion is leading in the direction that it's going. The article posted lists a group named "The Door" as one of the litigators.

This distinction between federal agencies. I don't see any of these activist judges ruling that the FBI cannot arrest at a courthouse.
But yes, this judge is outside the scope of his authority with this ruling. Supreme court has ruled they cannot do this on a national scale.
If it was in a red state, I'd want the state AG to move for disciplinary actions on this judge.
But... NY. We all know NY polis love their illegals.
