IIRC: I think Biden had a meeting with the RR union?
This is all planned. It will devastate when people are already hurting in this economy. People up north won't be about to pay to run their furnace's.
Justwhen looting starts, after a few days punishing us like Dictator Brandon and the WEF enjoys because we are stupid peons.

Any rail baws here to confirm or deny this?
Yes. They have become ruthless.
Hell, 5 years ago a guy I know got fired for taking off his safety glasses, to take his hoodie off, when the window was open on his locomotive. Trainmaster saw him from his office.
They've gotten worse since.

Well what happens after 14 days? You aren’t on call? So then you can go to the doctor.
It's too complicated to explain to most here.
But no to inane question.

Then what? That only works if there are replacements available. There is a shortage of conductors/engineers in that industry right now.

They are definitely ruthless. Sometimes I think the trainmasters get a bonus for firing the most people they can. These non railroad people just don't understand the acrimony between management and labor. I couldn't wait to get out of there when I turned 60.

Never forget the unions owns the democrats and the democrats own the unions. This only happens if they want it to.
Joe steps in after several weeks and everything is in the crapper and ends the strike to save the day just before mid-terms.

People ask me why I left the railroad all the time. I tell them I loved running trains. I hated the pricks I worked for and all the other bullshite that went with the job.

Not many guys want to walk away from their railroad retirement. It's a big deal.
About like expecting cops to walk away from their pensions.

could easily see the government stepping in like with the air traffic controllers and forcing an end to the strike.
Our current govt isn’t known for competence though. Hell they’d love to destroy the middle class through hyper inflation. Part of the WEF agenda. Rail strike grinds oil shipments, grain shipments, etc to a halt. Feed for aquaculture, cattle, chicken won’t be produced. All of the feed ingredients are shipped by rail to feed mills. Farmers won’t be able to sell grain during harvest as silos fill up and trains can’t empty out the grain elevators. Fuel an oil shipments will slow, relying solely on pipelines which Biden has been shutting down.
You’ll own nothing, eat the bugs, and live in the pod and like it.

That it exactly. The work isn't the problem, it's the Nazi management that truly think they own you.

This is great news for The globalists.

At least we have a diversity check mark next to our secretary of transportation and every liberal knows that is more important than actually transporting goods.

I just remembered one from years ago when I was on the extra board. A guy marked up on an outlying job didn't show up to work and never called so I got called out to drive 100 miles to work the job. They couldn't get ahold of him so I was on the job for the duration. Investigation is scheduled almost immediately. Now this guy had rarely if ever marked off. Had never no showed but they are all ready to fire him. After 4 or 5 days someone finally suggests that the railroad call the police to check on the guy.
He was dead in his lazy boy with an investigation scheduled for missing work.

I don't think you understand how it works. Biden cannot give the unions anything. Congress holds all the marbles and they are either going to force the PEB recommendations or grant another cooling off period. This is not a public union like the Air Traffic Controllers.

What’s the mechanism for forcing workers to show up for work?
Harry Truman literally threatened to draft rail workers into the Army if they went on strike.

Air traffic controllers in the US are federal employees. When they went on strike, the union violated federal rules and regs which prohibits strikes by federal government employees. They were ordered back to work by Reagan and a federal court injunction. Reagan gave them 2 days to return to work. Those who didn't were fired.
Railroad employees are not federal employees, rather they are private employees of the various railroads (CSX, CN, Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern, KCS, etc.). Different situation, different rules, different approaches.

Guy at my church retired from the railroad. He pretty much echoed you: horrible management, including orders to cut corners on safety measures.
