Read accounts from honest reporting in the Spanish Civil War, and the similarities will stun you. I think we're just a few months from a Gandesa-type defeat. For those unfamiliar with that war, Gandesa was the beginning of the end for Leftist forces. It was a rout, with things like Republican forces firing on each other in their panic to escape the Nationalist forces (especially the Moorish divisions, who were absolutely merciless when defeating enemies, often castrating them post-battle).

Another $40 billion and they will be fine.

Well, sounds like Russia and Ukraine militaries are both shitshows....

I really like that comparison. And I do agree, they will collapse.

I follow several Ukrainian and Russian vloggers and I knew something was up about a month ago when all the Ukrainians that made dramatic videos about leaving Ukraine as refugees started returning. If you had to throw all your belongings in your car with your kids and drive for days to the border, waiting even longer to cross out of the country, why would you voluntarily go back?

I've never been a refugee so I can only speculate about how difficult it is to leave your home, go to a foreign country where you may not speak the language, possibly live in a refugee camp. But if you are voluntarily returning to your country still in the middle of the war, I can only determine that you either aren't that scared of the Russians, or you've just decided that it's better than whatever place you're staying as a refugee. I saw several saying "We returned because we couldn't find jobs." Oh... so were you actually leaving because of the war or to find a new job?

Those guys aren’t returning to fight because they are volunteering. They are returning because Ukraine isn’t letting them leave. They are conscripting all males. That’s why so many surrender. They just announced recently that the guys that got through are subject to jail if they return
