The government would stop the manufacture and sale of ammunition before they tried to confiscate guns.

You're never going to stop people from killing each other.

The only solution would be to take everyone's guns.

I am no huge rights activist for guns or for taking them but I just dont think this is the answer. I dont. If guns were not available to persons who wanted to do this kind of harm, and Im talking if ever gun in the world was just burned to bare metal, people wanting to make a big statement would just use something else.

Small bombs or gas explosions would be used. I dong believe the weapon is the issue or the ease of getting one.

Todays society needs to be fixed. There is no respect for human life anymore and there are just no values. You can see it in our politics and social media.

I still say stand those convicted, naked, no blindfold, in front of a firing squad.
The thought of standing there having the same terror, with their little frightened shriveled dick exposed, while they shite themselves would have to make some of them think twice before they commit this evil.

There is no solution unless you want to hop in the wayback machine and return the USA to the mid 50s to early 60s when you had nuclear families, prayer in schools, regular church attendance and cohesive communities (obviously, without the segregation and racial suppression).

No I got what you were saying in principle. I just still feel like there has to be some policy or something out there that could lessen

There are many policies that would. But you are falling victim to single variable thinking.

For example. I could dramatically reduce traffic fatalities if I cut all speed limits everywhere in half. or maybe I could do it by regulating all cars so that they couldn't exceed 40 miles an hour. Both of those would absolutely reduce traffic fatalities. And if the only thing I cared about was reducing traffic deaths then there would be no way to defend not doing it

But I'm sure you are bright enough to know why it is that we don't do those two things

Examining gun fatalities is exactly the same. liberals fall for the single variable do something line of thinking because to them there is zero benefit to having guns

But they're just wrong on this. In any case. Of course if you think there is zero benefit to owning guns then the only variable you will look at is reducing gun fatalities. And you will also stupidly think that anyone who opposes you just doesn't care about gun fatalities because you can't imagine any variables other than that single one being relevant

But he’s not counting the 25 when Obama was President. Doesn’t fit his narrative.

I suggest publicly bitch-slapping and humiliating every person responsible for morally corrupting our culture.... not unlike what Trump has done recently with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

It's a symptom of the underlying sickness in our country

You can try to cover up the symptom or you can try to cure the illness. Unless you fix the illness you will just get knife attacks like in Europe. Or someone will make a bomb.

Right, but car accidents aren’t hate crimes and don’t carry the mass fear and hysteria of shootings. This is a dumb comparison. People will always be more afraid of guns than cars because they feel like they control the car whereas they can’t control whether they get shot.

We shouldn’t legislate based on feelings

The fact that people are horrible at assessing risk is not an excuse to pass a law. Jesus Christ try some adult thinking

If everyone was forced to attend church or had their right to free speech severely restricted or their right to assemble or freedom of movement..then the instances of gun violence would decrease.

This is essentially the same argument being made by those wanting to alter the second amendment.

They can't control other drivers any more than guns they don't own.

Many people don't want the Truth, but the only real answer is the Truth.

Good and evil exist, and we can have power over evil. There is a proven solution.

Well you got one right: congratulations. No there is no such thing as a violent gun. Or a knife. Nor an automobile. Nor a poison. Gasoline is not violent but soak yourself in it and lite a match like an idiot. This whole subject is not a laughing matter but you have managed to marginalize it by trying to make some stupid posting points. Ok here's two. Is that enough? If not take two more. Even your GD header is a childish look at me attempt....."Are you the only ONE who worries about these tragedies". Go ahead and take some more points...you are hereby granted 4 points for being the only human concerned with mass shootings. AND QUIT trying to speak for other people. You strongly suggest there is no solution you fricking dumass. Now you disagree with your own self. And double down on your other untruths.

I will say this: mass killings are very much a part of the world scene. In this era seemingly started by Muslim terrorists world wide and now he copy cats. Muslims have a definite cause. the few here in comparison are all over the place as to motive. Look at me to mental illness to people who don't fit in etc. Maybe some with a marginalized political aim. Who knows. And we have people trying to gain political advantage over murders. Or get some perverse pleasure points on a goofy political board. But this problem pales compared to the mass murders and killings by socialists in the 20th century. Hitler was a piker but he murdered probably close to 8-10 million. Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot combined for well over 100M. Our society has came a long way since the dark ages hasn't it.

Take guns and let the nutjobs drive into crowds with box trucks

Automate driving and take away self driving

And nutjobs will go in with knifes

It will be something but all ends in loss of freedom
