No, pretending that Conservatism was ever going to do anything to maintain civilization was the undoing of America. Imagine fighting for 50 years for the freedom of big business to do whatever they want, and then big business turns around and tells you that what they want is to fire you for not supporting homosexuals and Black Lives Matter.

I should also mention that that trip was pretty amazing. I got to challenge KPMG Sr. consultants assigned to study health outcomes from the NHS. I tore apart their conclusions that heath outcomes were better in UK than America. Those people hated me. They shut down the discussion. Whatever.
I also got to ask NATO liaisons and Zahida Parveen Manzoor, Baroness Manzoor (Muslim woman in parliament) about lack of European contributions to NATO defense and challenge Manzoor on a few topics. I sat next to her at lunch and was able to discuss many things. She is better than our typical run of the mill dolts but still goofball.
You got to have an understanding before you go in or I can see how lay people get swept up in it. Liberal ideology is presented as fact more than preference. You have to be able to navigate the grey and challenge them appropriately. Not stand up and try to loud cap them into submission.

People been saying this for years but the middle ground almost conservatives didn't want to believe it at all. Taking God out of schools have killed us. If you chart the time of when God was removed from schools and look at when all the mess started you'll see how it lines up. Wish I had that chart handy but it's eye opening.
