If you think the FISA laws supply inadequate protection you have Nunes and Trump to thank for not seeking reforms

And the correct and only answer to that question is "By the Trump Campaign".

we have Trump to blame for there not being proper protections in the fisa process during his campaign to become president? If you are referring to the recent bill passed, statements from Congress and the president indicate that the continuation bill included changes to strengthen the protections. Also, it's clear from the memo evidence that the doj and FBI were willfully sidestepping the protections already in place, and in doing so we're committing a fraud on the court, which is a felony

Perjury isn’t a law?

Because Comey perjured himself in front of the HIC and to the FISA court. And McCabe did the same in front of the FISA court.

The memo doesn’t say that. No one is saying that but you.

They don’t understand the concept of perjury. You can thank Bill Clinton for that.

Comey and McCabe had to swear to the accuracy of the evidence used to get and renew the FISA warrants, including the dossier.

But the dossier was repeatedly referred to by multiple sources within the FBI as unverified. And was in fact proven to be full of shite.

Yet they kept using it as the basis of the FISA renewal.

And in Comey’s case, he expressly referred to the document as being “salacious and unverified” in front of the HIC along with claiming their was no surveillance of Trump.

If he was calling it “salacious and unverified” over 5 months after submitting it to the FISA court, then it was submitted and vouched for by high FBI officials at least 3 times in that span.

That means he either lied to the court about the accuracy of the evidence or to the HIC about it being unverified.

They are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks:
- No laws broken
- This is a nothing burger
- It been disputed, but don’t say what is disputed
- Chris Mathews implied the Whitehouse wrote the whole thing and the Republicans are just playing along
- It’s the judge’s responsibility to thoroughly vet the evidence brought to them. So it’s okay for the FBI to present lies????
- What is Carter Page’s role?
- This is not an intelligence document and those that wrote it never read the underlining documents
- And of course the Russians are really running the whole thing

Aren't you supposedly a libertarian?

Doesn't this all infuriate you? Or are you totally compromised by politics?

Really? Trump should've changed the FISA law while under investigation? You guys are effing crazy. How do you think the media, Dems, and the deep blue state would react to that?

No, they didn’t. They had to swear they had probable cause to believe a crime was committed/ongoing. The only thing the memo makes plain is the the dossier was a part of that application. We still have no idea how prominent a role it played and what other evidence the FBI had. Until we know that, there is no way of knowing if the warrant was properly issued. And it’s wildly speculative to be throwing around charges of perjury.

who cares?

when did we start caring about what the media and Dems thought of Trump's actions?
