I was at Hoover Dam a few weeks ago. Lake Mead is almost at its lowest point ever and inside the dam you could still feel a rumble as though the dam were alive.


I would love to go if Lake Mead was high. Despite being low in some spots, water was still leaching though the rock. They put roofing tin to keep the walkways dry.

He’s not touting an ice age. The theory that he was discussing is a scenario of global warming. For some reason I am not familiar with, the gulfstream collapses due to increased global average temperature. The gulfstream distributes heat to North America. Without that heat distribution North America gets radically colder while other parts of the earth get radically warmer. The net is a warmer earth with North America being a cold spot.

ChatGPT says this is largely untrue. The chief designer of the dam was never arrested, or accused. There were some executives of the company who were arrested and convicted of taking bribes, but no allegations of inferior materials and no suspicion that the dam is in danger of failing. In fact, ChatGPT says it is massively overdesigned and monitored.
