inside the dam you could still feel a rumble as though the dam were alive.
In a sense it is, it’s still “curing” like a country ham. Even with 600 miles worth of cooling pipe installed at build it will still take decades or centuries for it to fully “cure”, but in the process it’s actually gaining strength by the day.

Since you brought it up, the Ms river is currently headed up with no certain fall in sight. The very wet Spring the midwest is having plus melting snow up North could be happening at the very worse time. I've heard the CORPs has already had several meetings levee board members about the shortage of available lifejackets and pirogues.
Maybe the river will just make the water disappear. There is another video on YouTube that explains how the lower river is dying and how water is just being “lost” between Memphis and Baton Rouge.
Never know who to believe when there is a YouTube video on it.
I guess the days of if I saw X on the news, I could take it to the bank. Now you just have to play Doubting Debbie on any information that comes your way.

One was built by Communist slave labor and the other actual skilled workers but they are exactly the same lol

pimping the possibility of the ORCS or Morganza failing and flooding Morgan City.
The ORCS failing is actually a likely scenario. Not fear mongering. It's a geological inevitability. Whether it happens in 50 years, 100 years, or maybe 200 years is just a matter of how much money we spend on it between now and then. But it will happen.
It's really kind of odd to me that more isn't being done to shore it up.
