remember some discussions from people like Napolitano, prior to these cases getting started. They talked about how difficult Trump makes things for his attorneys. They talked about how there is or could be difficulty for Trump, finding the best representation as a result, and some other things. He interviewed Tacopina, iirc. Trump does a lot of damage to himself.

We are all allowed representation in this country.

These judges need repercussions for their actions. Only thing that will stop this corruption.

This is SOP for Trump in trials and it ends up fricking him real good. He took what could have been a manageable verdict ( he was always going to lose given the current atmosphere) and turned it into a spectacle. Either Habba is incompetent or her client hamstrung her . Probably a combination of both.

The fact that Tacopina withdrew as his lawyer is telling. Joe Tacopina is not afraid of shite, but when he takes you on he tells you exactly what he expects and if you do what he tells you, he will either get you off or limit the damage.

The appeals court will take care of that. The motions in limine that were granted were outrageous.

His post is not incorrect, but he is doing exactly what he accuses Habba of doing. Lying by omission. This limiting of questions is just a continuation of ruling against trump every chance and hamstringing any opportunity for a fair hearing. This will be overturned on appeal. It was a disgusting display and even those of you that hate trump should be against this weaponization of the justice system.

I'm sure there's a way to overturn this but they know it will cost lots of money on Trump's behalf and consume lots of his time in doing so. They clearly are trying to bog him down so he can't spend valuable time in swing states as much as he wants.

If you read up on what Habba was trying to do, either she or her client wanted a different set of rules than what is allowed for everyone else in this situation. The fact that she tried to do it, either shows balls or incompetence. An incompetent attorney with balls makes you look stupid....hope Trump isn't paying her.

I did not know this. That's a BAD sign.

I think it's more balls. They know the press on this is more valuable for the Trump-politician brand, so they ensure it becomes the story within their political support universe.

Although Trump storming out does show more of an emotional strategy and not the hyper-rational meta approach I'm trying to give them credit for, so it may just be incompetence and emotion.

Trump is an uncontrollable client, what lawyer who didn’t desperately need the business/exposure would put up with that?

There is a bit of sad irony that a man who relied on using the civil system and litigation for decades to bully people into submission is facing the same system.

It's amazing to watch you pretzel yourself into justifying this nonsense. Trump was a litigious arse, but this involved high-level Democratic operatives bankrolling a civil suit because a hostile state legislature changed a law specifically to target one person. That's banana republic stuff.

I didn't "justify" anything.

Following the Peter Thiel playbook.

I already said months ago this was offensive and possibly unconstitutional.

The biggest tell of all these past 15 years is that the 'progressives' know damn well that should conservatives ever get back substantial power that they would never descend into the tyrannical methodology of the 'progressives' - they know they can bide their time 'unburdened' by any concern over 'retaliation' that was not above board. They know conservatives will fight to protect 'progressives' ' rights' just as much as their own.

We are fighting an evil unknown since the 3rd reich. we are fighting against a soulless enemy who have no capacity for the truth or logic or fairness or sympathy or fair play. Their only rule is b.a.m.n. with the emphasis on the any.

Their only joy comes from 'winning' an unfair contest.

They are a cult based on lies and false promises and hoaxes.
