Alexander Vindman: US can stop the horror of Putin war in Ukraine. But time is running out

US can't stop anything with Biden and his Vindman-like pals in charge of the US military. Not sure if one should laugh or cry at Vindman.

Putin knew he would face severe consequences when Trump was prez. He saw what happened in Afghanistan. He knows now is the time to strike. Putin is very smart and calculated. Anyone who did not know this prior to voting for Biden needs to think long and hard prior to ever voting again.

Vladimir Putin is an aggressive thinker, but he is not irrational. He will take all that he can as long as the cost is bearable. While diplomatic efforts to dissuade him were necessary and important, they came without the movement of troops and equipment that would have significantly raised the costs of invasion.

Thus, he has continued the buildup – possibly to the point of no return. But while there are still seconds on the clock, we can and must act to avert an invasion and the spillover that would suck America into another European war.

Once Putin got the info he needed through the diplomatic efforts, he realized now is the time. This is why he did not pull back his troops.

If Russia invades, Ukraine can thank Biden and Vindman for the invasion. Vindman tried to harm Trumps reputation as prez when Trump did nothing wrong. This could have lost a few votes for Trump. The Bible says, "You reap what you sow".
This is very unfortunate for Ukraine, Afghanistan, and probably other countries in the future.
