He also doesnt want to be governor, ever.
Wes Allen definitely wants to be governor.

Just my 2 cents , i donated to Hudson's sheriff run a few years ago because the current sheriff is a crook.. I would say Hudson needs to refine his public speaking skills.
Honestly he's not ready to step in to the demanding role as a US senator IMO, he has 3 young kids. As a Sheriff yes, he has LEO exp. but as senator zero exp.
I guess i'll vote Marshall.....Moore seems like a clown!!

Riggs Walker - Criminal Court of Appeals - fantastic person and great legal mind

Not Tuberville and whoever is not the incumbent.
When Tuberville can name the three branches of government I'll consider voting for him. As it is, he wouldn't pass a civics test to even vote if I were king, much less be qualified to be the most powerful man in Alabama.
Downvote if y'all agree.

Sounds like he might be a great agriculture commissioner, but I don't see anything else on the resume you just posted that makes me think he'd be a great lieutenant governor.

What do you think the Lt Governor does?

I KNOW that the Lt Governor presides over the Senate as president, casts tie-breaking votes, assume the governor's duties when the governor is absent or otherwise incapacitated, refer bills and appoint Senate members to committees, serve on a couple dozen boards, and can lead policy initiatives. Although I should say that apparently the Senate has voted in recent times to dilute those powers in Alabama somewhat.
Do all good ole country boys, farmers and ranchers grow up doing those things from a tyke and I just don't know about it?

This is what I was thinking. But Hudson sure does seem to have a lot of supporters, and I am just curious why so many people seem to want him over Marshall. I say that because I'm just not that familiar with Hudson, and it doesn't appear that he has much of a track record when it comes to public office.
I'm afraid that Hudson and Marshall are going to pull enough votes from each other that it will give Moore the easy win, especially since Moore somehow has Trump's and a lot of Senators'/Reps' endorsements.

No, they dont. But all the Ag Commissioners do. They appoint committee members, refer bills, lead policy initiatives. Rick Pate didnt just walk out of tractor supply company and decide to run for Lt Governor.
What experience do you think Ainsworth had before becoming Lt Governor? I'll give you a hint, it's farming.

Bc Marshall is basically Jeff Sessions.

Can't vote for a woman. Ergo... no Casey.

Will you agree to stop posting on the rant when Tuberville is elected governor in a landslide?

I particularly liked Tuberville standing up to the biden military trying to turn it into an abortion travel agency. They tried to paint him as some anti military person and he held firm. He will make a great governor, and he will be the next governor. You bama baws need to get over the fear of the thumb, this is about the state's future not your bruised egos
I think holding up service member promotions is not the right way to take a stand. I think at some point he only held up senior commissioned promotions so he wasn’t fricking over some junior commissioned officer’s likely much more meaningful pay increase to them than those late career officers.
Perhaps he always was but as a former service member, I don’t find his decision to use promotion approvals as a cudgel over something dictated by the civilian side tasteful at all. Sure some general or admiral execute this stuff but they’re bounded to civilian authority. In less stable nations, that is a good way to politicize the military. Just not good juju.

O.k., noted. Thanks for the information. I was ignorant of the day to day activities of the agricultural commissioner.
If the guy I was replying to had itemized those reasons as qualifications instead of being a lifelong farmer, rancher, and a good ole country boy, I wouldn't have doubted the recommendation.

It will be closer than it should be, but Jones isn’t as appealing as he was in 2017 and Tuberville is a stronger opponent than Roy Moore by far. I think Tubs wins by 6-7%.
Definitely voting for Jared Hudson for Senate. Strong resume, and I like what I hear.

Nah man. Black Dems don't like Dud Jones. He represents the old, AEA-style Dem in Alabama, not the new, BLM-style Dem in Alabama.
ETA: The Dem Party in Alabama is VERY fractured right now. Racial gerrymandering has been terrible for them as a functioning entity.
