Collegiate sports, especially collegiate football, has helped many young men (and women) escape poverty. Plus it has given them an oppertunity to get a good education in a quality institution of higher learning. A job skill that will be with them long after their football career is over.
I love the pomp and pagentry of collegiate football in the fall - the marching band, the cheerleaders, the excitement of our team scoring the winning touchdown or the letdown when my teams loses in the wanning seconds of the game. Hey, it's football.
Always I "try' to keep in mind - collegiate football is a game young men play in the fall.
It's fescue - Coach Lee Corso

She is correct though. AOC underestimates the relationship between your average white southerner and southern black folk. It’s a love-hate thing but something both sides strongly dislike is outsiders telling us how to live. That’s a good way unite both sides

If you took the us military out of it I think the south would whip the north in about a month.
In the U.S. military, combat arms, are mostly Southerners .... most definitely mostly Conservative.
AOC and her SPLC and NAACP overlords like to think it would be about the South vs the North, but it wouldn't be. It would be about Americans vs democrats.
They're trying to prod us and bait us right now. Unfortunately the inevitable is coming.
It'll start with vigilante justice .... the elderly retired veteran that was beaten to death in his own home for simply flying a MAGA flag and wearing a MAGA hat .... even though they finally caught the guy last night, it may prove to be the proverbial straw when it comes to vigilantes in that part of the country.

Nah, I’m not going to endorse that YN culture when I think it will benefit me. That shite is a plague on society, and it’s complained about constantly here and in many other places.

Bring it on!
I would love to see those Yankees "pull up" in Sandersvillie GA, where my oldest brother lives with a house full of rifles, shotguns, pistols, and dynamite. I have always said, if there was a national emergency, our family would head that way as fast as we could. Everyone in his general area has the same.
That is just one town down here in the South, I know that there are many many more.

I didn't understand a lot of her verbage but I get the point. She's not lieing. The yankees live in a glass house, a bubble. One shot and their idealogy comes crashing down on them. We have millions of shots

What exactly does it mean to “pull up” on someone?

Grok:
"Pull up on someone" is a slang phrase, often rooted in AAVE and "street" lingo, that primarily means to approach someone, usually to pick a fight, instigate violence, or confront someone in an aggressive posture.
The term originates from the idea of pulling up in a car to a location. While it can occasionally be used in neutral or positive contexts, it is generally not considered friendly and is used when one party is looking for a physical confrontation. Because of its aggressive connotation, it is advised to avoid using it casually with friends and family.
