People should be executed by the state/feds using the worst manner in which the perp killed their victims.

This bullshite needs to stop. Firing squad always works!

Hell, I think a failed execution should result in the prisoner’s release. The sentence was carried out whether successfully or not.

Return to the way it was, you mean?
Does that not still require changing it?

"Change it" is more vague, and could apply to a completely new form or a reversion to a previous form.
Returning it to the way it was is more precise language. Though, admittedly, it doesn't allow you to make your sparky point. Sorry.

No, it wasn't. The sentence is death. Death has not been carried out.

If Hitler was caught alive, would you have supported the death penalty for him?

Cheap and highly effective.

If you’re against the death penalty that’s fine, but don’t be disingenuous with your argument.
There is nothing “cruel and unusual” about lethal injection, they just need better trained staff to place the IV’s.

Why do you think reversion to a previous form is somehow better than applying something completely new? Certainly there are many things in this country where we wouldn't want to revert to how things were previously. The "I just want to change it back to how it was" logic doesn't always make sense.

Right. I don’t mean to imply lethal injection is cruel and/or unusual. Poking someone for four hours to administer the injection is the cruel and unusual part.

4cubbies is a moron and I won't speak for xer/xhem, but I do think there is a fundamental difference between executions carried out in wartime or under military law and those being carried out as a function of peacetime criminal justice.
Of course this specific point is moot because the Soviets would have killed the frick out of Hitler whether we agreed or not

I’m anti-death penalty.

Just out of curiosity, why do you place more value on the life of an unquestionably guilty condemned murderer than you do on that of an unquestionably innocent unborn baby?

If correct, the sentence is “until you are dead.”
There is a talk show host that was a Surgeon General. He suggests an over dose of heroin. Never feels a thing.

My original statement wasn't about what's better, it's to call out chubby and her using a progressive reading of the 8th Amendment to shield murderers.

I don’t. I have no idea where the narrative that I’m pro-abortion came from. Probably the same person that decided I’m a communist.
