Ironic that Obama had to choose the dumbest white man he could find to run on his ticket so he could garner a portion of the white vote...now that same dumb, white guy is having to choose the smartest black woman he can to run as his VP so that he can get the "lion's share" of the black vote.

The Dem candidate is going to get close to 90 percent of the black vote. Having a black anything on the ticket isn't going to add a single vote that they would not already get.

not percentage-wise - but having a black woman would attract a lot more ignorant blacks to the polls. = overall more votes, but same percentage (may even increase the percentage by a point or two cause no black attracted by this development would consider voting for Trump.)
However, it may also prompt a few more lazy conservatives to go out and vote against the stupidity of the DEM ideology who would have otherwise sat it out.
about the overall effect - but it will definitely increase the number of black votes.
