Here is the Arkansas statute on citizens arrest.

I don’t know if what I did would be considered arrest, but I got a “good job” and a pat on the back from the Chief.

And much like Frank Drebin accidentally backing over drug dealers, it sounds like they should have been recognized for what they did.

Isn’t there another active thread about the citizen’s arrest law being changed? I can’t intelligently discuss Georgia law, but I’ve had this exact scenario in Arkansas. Coming home one day, neighbor flags me down to tell me that the truck parked on the street adjacent to my storage building is being loaded with stuff out of my building. I told her to call the police, and went down the street. When I get close, they pull the truck into the road, heading out. They were detained, in the middle of the road. I never pointed my pistol, but I had it in hand. Had either of them gotten froggy, they would have been shot.

if comparing to the AA case theres a few tweaks to be more similar.

imagine it was a week ago something was being unloaded out the building, but you don't know who it was. The building was not yours, and it was a a street or two down. since you saw someone running you decided to pick up your son across the street and drive chasing them around and pointing a shotgun at them.

In the mid 80s there was a guy dressed as a jogger that was robbing joggers, walkers and bikers in Audubon park in NO. I was working on a survey crew and one of our guys that was a ranger in Vietnam saw a guy accosting a young woman on a bike that he had stopped.

Took his arse down hard.... 4 victims iD’d him

So him attacking the guy with the gun is murder?

The guy with the gun pointed it at him before Arbery attacked him.

I’ve already said I’m not excusing Bubba Redneck and his son for what they did. But if I were on the jury, the whole case would hinge on who initiated the physical contact.

Why do you keep lying? I never said he was wearing work boots. Link it to prove you aren’t a liar.

Will you now admit that he wasn’t jogging and that you lied because you got emotional?

“Work” boots for this guy is kinda funny though.

Lol at the various running clubs around the country telling people to run 2.23 miles for a “fellow jogger” that was murdered simply for running. That dumbfrick never ran for the sport a day on his life!

However, that does not excuse the actions of those that killed him. They deserve jail.

A jury of 12 that sees all the evidence will decide that.

Not us.

Does Chauvin deserve jail too? Evidence the public does not see, matters.

I’m sorry you lied and said he was wearing boots not “work” boots like others claimed. Once again you are a pathetic human being.

You are forgiven for lying, arse hat.

Your emotions do get the best of you. It happens. No biggie.

Why did you feel the need to lie about him wearing boots? To you teach your children to lie about random things to strangers on the internet?

Why is a liar bitching and moaning about a lie which wasn’t a lie?

That’s a tad hypocritical. I don’t expect you to admit that.

I do forgive you. It’s going to be ok when you finally calm down.

ETA: I do find your passive aggressive bullshite to be funny though. “I’m sorry you lied...”

Lol

Females love that tactic

He’s frustrated because every hour his position becomes less and less defensible and he has spent months condemning to hell anyone that disagrees with him.
