It's what keeps one from becoming an ideologue-the ability to bend to reality, rather than break and hand the keys to the kingdom to the very worst among us. Imperfect coalitions to hold off the most primitivist Statists as much as is possible. Making peace with the imperfect. It's something that people who wish to GOVERN have to contemplate wisely. It's why you ABSOLUTELY would vote for Trump were you the deciding vote in a Biden-Trump race. But you aren't, you are off in the Alaskan wilderness and have made a calculation that you can afford to parade your Libertarian purity about. I wouldn’t answer any such question unless and until you quoted the specific language wherein Trump simply said “I will pay off all debt in 8 years.”
