Okay. I'm not going to go back 2 or 3 months just to satisfy you. If the $38 million that was stated in the article on St George is wrong, it's wrong. I didn't dream it up. If you want to believe I made it up that's fine with me.
It really doesn't matter what evidence I post. The SG fanboys will just dismiss it and find reasons to not believe it anyway.
Just like in this thread about my comment about the $7 million in revenues from L'Auberge. You question it because I linked to the SG official budget. DoubleForgetful questioned it because he wanted to interpret it as sales taxes although I never referred to it as sales taxes and in one post I specifically referred to it as "gambling" revenue.
So what's the point of me posting links. Besides, I've probably posted more links supporting my posts than all the SG fanboys combined. And in many cases I've had to post the same links multiple times because you and the others either claim you didn't see them or DoubleForgetful can't remember them.
He even questioned a statement I made about the number of NEW schools Rainey claimed SG was going to build without needing to raise taxes. So I found the thread where Rainey was quoted saying that and IT WAS DOUBLEFORGETFUL'S OWN THREAD. AND HE WAS THE ONE WHO HAD PROVIDED THE LINK TO RAINEY'S QUOTE!!!

Again, for whatever reason, you have become the voice of the opposition. Either you embrace it and support your stance, or you don't.
If you have evidence to back your stance, then do it. That makes for better discourse. Defensive attacks do nothing to further the conversation.
I condemn all sides for misinformation. If you relied on an erroneous article, so be it. It doesn't change your motives for opposition.
If you are against this, then fight it the right way. Don't fight it with clear deflections that make the opposition stronger.

If I was making a point, it would be that you were grossly wrong after months of calling others idiots for not accepting your argument as omniscient. Now you look like the idiot and the board has full rights to plaster your support and dispersion of patently false facts all over the place as a response, regardless of the future arguments you make. Blaming being wrong on anyone other than yourself (especially since you regard yourself as some sort of pseudo expert speaking from a higher place) is a cowardly cop out.
I'm awaiting your response asking me for links to posts that support the generation of my above stated "point."

What was you previous screen name before your current alter screen name?

For whatever reason, you're wrong. There are several posters on here who consistently voice opposition to SG. But thanks for the compliment.

You skeered to admit it? Or just embarrassed?
Posted on 4/28/14 at 11:40 pm to LSURussian
Are you going to answer any substantive questions raised by the contents of the posted article?

Hey Russian, remember when you said this?

To make up for the loss of sales taxes from the Mall SG residents would have to vote almost triple property tax increases on themselves
Link?

The 38 million in sales tax receipts roughly equates to 750 million in store revenues which is not a practical number. I don't know what the number is and assume the 38 million in the past article includes some estimations and ancillary benefits to the government coffers..

This link was posted recently on here https://thehayride.com/2014/04/the-st-george-organizers-throw-down-a-gauntlet-to-kip-holden/
Any idea where that figure came from? The writer is extremely pro SG and anti-Kip, BR, etc. Just curious because so many different figures are being thrown around.
I recently read that though SG says the budget deficit of BR would only be around $14 million, that doesn't include the roughly $7million in gaming revenue from L'auberge that they intend on taking so it's hard to believe any figures anymore.

And so Mayor-President Kip Holden is in the midst of attempting a land grab that would net him the Mall of Louisiana and the $20 million or so in sales tax revenue annually the Mall would offer.

I already explained where I got the $38 million figure from. Did you miss that?
The implication is that you made it up.

I didn't. When i first posted about the $38 million I posted a link to the article where it came from.
As Mickey's post above shows, there have been several different sales tax numbers given for the MoL/Perkins Rowe area. Which number is correct? I don't know.
But if you prefer to believe I made it up, that's okay with me. Links and facts don't influence your already made up mind anyway.

Russian never admits when he is wrong, even when it is REALLY obvious:

Knight, the first time I REMEMBER seeing the 38 million dollar figure being tossed around was that day or couple of days, and not two or three months ago like Russian says.
And yes I REMEMBER him saying he saw it posted in a link in another thread.
Now he can't find the link, or provide a source. At least I can't REMEMBER him providing a link or a source. But then I'm an idiot and I forget, right?
I'll give him the 7 million dollar figure, even though he packaged apples with oranges, at least the 7 million dollar figure has some basis to it.
The sales tax figure of 38 million for the Mall and 4 million for Perkins-Rowe do not.
