If so, I sure as hell won’t watch. Just started watching a little last year after the kneeling shite died down.

I hope the NFL craters.

True, it’s ratings-driven.

I expect the en masse kneeling to start showing up at colleges and high schools.

They’ll come for JJ. And he’ll probably back down. We’ll see.

I really lost interest after the NOLA No Call.

Not necessarily a conscious decision, just wasnt nearly as invested anymore.

College players are in the locker room during the anthem.

Goodell just needs to have the anthem moved up to when the teams are in the locker room like they do in college. The players can find another way to make a statement.

Networks have proven they will take a financial beating to virtue signal.

See the WNBA.

The first "boycott" of the NFL two years ago when all of this kneeling started hurt the NFL in terms of advertising dollars and viewership. NFL Commissioner knew this, even though he never said it publicly. To say otherwise is dishonest.

Verizon, Amazon, P&G

Verizon, after my contract is up in August I'll be switching to something else. Not because of the NFL, because Verizon call quality and data quality has gone to shite since last summer, in my region at least.

Amazon, will not be renewing prime because they no longer offer 2 day shipping.

P&G, whatever. If someone wants to make a cheat sheet of comparable products I might make an effort to buy elsewhere.

Watching the NFL is the same as white folks washing BLM protesters feet. How any person can waste their time, money, and emotions on the spoiled kids is comical.

You mean the way it used to be? Should have changed it back as soon as it became a point of contention. You were pissing off some fans either way otherwise.

There's a reason why the NFL didn't jump on the "woke train" a few years ago.

I've thought about this over the past two weeks. I don't care a bit about (and don't watch) MLB or NBA, but I did enjoy the NFL. I'd watch the Cowboys, Eagles or Redskins - career took me to these places over the years.

As I got older, I didn't care about sports as much, but I always looked at sports as a diversion from everything else. It won't be again, not after the last two weeks.

And for that reason, I'm out on the NFL. The NFL will just be another platform for overtly advancing select political views - and aggressively suppressing any views that dare to not completely align. I'm out.

I learned over the years when I did walk away from a sport, it was easy not to go back. So I'll likely stay away and easily find something to replace it.

I'll still enjoy golf and LSU football. I hope...

The stadiums were already going to be less than 100% full this season....probably the case even pre-covid. And while a lot more revenue comes from the TV deals I think empty/quiet stadiums could lead to a "pro-bowl" like viewing experience (boring).

Luckily, Gus made me quit football in 2018.

I might watch a night game, but I play golf in the daytime.
